Beijing's biggest Highland Games 2021年北京最精彩的高地运动会完美落幕

On Sunday 6th June, the British Chamber hosted the 2021 Highland Games with over 1,500 from the Scottish, British and Chinese communities in the centre of Beijing!

The biggest Highland Games the Chamber have hosted yet, we were delighted to bring the Scottish tradition to China for the third year, introducing the popular ceilidh dance, shot put and tyre flip competitions, as well as the much-anticipated tug-of-war between 36 teams throughout the day! 

We were also honoured to be joined by Her Majesty's Ambassador, Caroline Wilson CMG, who also partook in the tug-of-war!

Over 35 vendors joined us on the day offering a wide selection of food, drinks, Scottish products and arts and crafts, not to mention scotch whisky tasting, making it a truly Scottish event!
