Thank you for making the Highland Games 2022 a huge success!
Thank you for joining us for the Highland Games 2022
For the fourth year running, the British Chamber brought Scottish traditions to over 1,000 guests in Beijing through our annual Highland Games. Even the weather was appropriately Scottish!
Bringing the Highland Games to Beijing
Guests could try their hands at classic highland games like shot put, tyre flip and farmers’ walk, and pit themselves against other teams for a tug-of-war showdown!
Thank you to Trainyard for running the activities.
Let the games begin!
The Beijing Scottish Society also led a ceilidh, where we were delighted to be joined by Her Majesty’s Ambassador Caroline Wilson to demonstrate this traditional Scottish dance.

Showcasing Scottish brands
Our Scottish pavilion, in partnership with Scottish Development International, showcased the best of Scottish brands - including whisky, shortbread, soaps and even representatives from Scotland's top universities!
Scottish whisky
It wouldn't be a Highland Games without some top Scottish whisky on offer - thank you to our sponsor Loch Lomond for running an excellent whisky bar!
We were also joined by some of Scotland and Beijing’s best vendors and brands, selling everything from haggis and whisky to highland soaps and fish and chips – making it a truly Scottish event.
Thank you also to Visa for sponsorship of the event!
Thank you to all our brilliant vendors for making the day a success!
All for a good cause
A charity raffleand other activities on the day went towards supporting the Migrant Children's Foundation - thank you to MCF for joining on the day!
