Solange Hints at Grammys Boycott after Beyoncé’s Loss to Adele

Adele isn’t the only person who thinks Beyoncé deserved more Grammys. After the awards show ended on Sunday night with Adele taking home Record and Album of the Year for 25 over Bey’s Lemonade, Beyoncé’s sister Solange tweeted a link to a blog by singer Frank Ocean, writing, “wuddup frank”, The New York Post reports.

In his blog, posted on Saturday, Ocean, 29, slams the Grammys and show producer Ken Ehrlich and writer David Wild for criticising his 2013 performance as “faulty” in an interview with Rolling Stone: “Yea yea, my 2013 performance at the Grammys was absolute s**t. Technical difficulties, blah blah. Thanks for the reminder.

“Very much appreciated. F**k that performance, though. You think that’s why I kept my work out of the Grammys process this year? Don’t you think I would’ve wanted to play the show to ‘redeem’ myself if I felt that way?” He continued: “I’ve actually been tuning into CBS around this time of year for a while to see who gets the top honour, and you know what’s really not ‘great TV,’ you guys?

“1989 getting Album of the Year over To Pimp a Butterfly. Hands down one of the most ‘faulty’ TV moments I’ve seen. Believe the people. Believe the ones who’d rather watch select performances from your program on YouTube the day after because your show puts them to sleep.”

If Solange, 30, who took home the Best R&B Performance Grammy, skips the Grammys next year, she’ll be in good company. Aside from Ocean, JustinBieber, Drake and Kanye West all sat out from the ceremony on Sunday, with sources close to Bieber and West claiming they feel the awards are “irrelevant.”

In her Album of the Year acceptance speech, Adele gushed that Beyoncé, 35, deserved to win. “I can’t possibly accept this award … my artist of my life is Beyoncé, and this album to me, the Lemonade album, is so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and so soul-baring,” she said through tears.

“We all got to see another side to you that you don’t always let us see and we appreciate that. All us artists here adore you. You are our light!” After her speech, Adele, 28, went backstage and broke her Grammy in half to share her trophy with Bey.

“A piece of me did die inside, as a Beyoncé stan — not going to lie,” she said.

“I was completely rooting for her, I voted for her. I felt like it was her time to win. My view is, ‘What the f**k does she have to do to win album of the year?’
