Tianmei's World Academy (TMWA) is a decentralized “network of classrooms” school concept, using environmental psychology knowledge with the aim to redefine where and how learning happens.
天美的世界学院(TMWA)是一个分散式“教室网络”学校概念,利用环境心理学知识,旨在重新定义学习的地点和方式。
By doing so, it brings high quality learning opportunities closer to learners across cultural, geographical and language barriers.
By experiencing the different learning environments that the academy creates, individuals can better understand what kind of learning environments and methods are most suitable for their own learning and self-development needs, apply them in their daily lives and maximize their individual potential against “one-size-fits-all” educational methods currently in use in many institutions/organizations.

经过3年的持续研究和测试,我们开发了一个独特的教育框架。
它为与会者提供了多种多样的学习方法和环境,允许他们通过亲身体验而自己选择最适合自己的学习方式和环境,同时,突破“一刀切”的学习方式。在这个过程中,学员们将获得了相同的学习成果:增强的批判性,创造力和系统思维能力,增强自信和同理心,并且证明学习有好多种,也没有对错,只有适不适合自己而已。
第一阶段:
破冰环节,允许参与者一下子放松并且熟悉周边环境,进入学习心态
第二阶段:
输入环节,通过观看、聆听输入新知识。无论是书籍、电影、讲座等其他内容,新知识都在我们的身边
第三阶段:
输出环节,通过小组协作参与者们将能表达对输入内容的观点,以便建立更多链接,开阔思维
第四阶段:
反思环节,允许参与者们反思在体验中的收获,对刚学习的内容产生更深刻的印象,长期记住

品牌含义
With the help of her Environmental Psychology expertise, Adina got from 0 Chinese skills to HSK 5 level in less than 3 years.
Having such a learning experience, Adina is convinced that language learning is not a matter of talent, but a matter of creating a proper environment with suitable learning tools for personal needs and styles, which is a point she is trying to make through all the educational projects that she designs through the Academy.
She spent more than 10 frustrating years on the road to self-discovery, changing many jobs in different fields ranging from architecture & design to sales & marketing.
Along the way, she realized that very often we talk about the same concepts across industries, but we just call them differently, thus creating a lot of confusion and increasing the risk of conflict.
This happens even more so when we believe that we are speaking the same language, as we rarely express the actual meaning that we attribute to the words we use, meaning which is dictated by our past experiences.
She came to the conclusion that following the industrialist era when everybody had to fit under certain patterns in order to increase productivity, both the economical and educational systems ended up targeting the majority, ignoring individual needs.
In other words, one either fits within the system or they're considered to be the one with the problem.
Adina argues that this model is not applicable in current society anymore, thus through all the projects and workshops that she designs and delivers, she is now on a mission to change the system and how people view education and turn the world into a big classroom, while creating better learning, working and living environments for the people and purpose these environments serve.

天美发现,在工业革命时代,为了提高生产力,每个人都要适应“尽一切可能提高生产力”的模式。那时,不论是经济还是教育系统都在追求最大的效果,而忽略个体需求。
换句话说,一个人要么主动适应这个系统,要么被周围人认为是有问题的人。
邱天美认为,这种模式已经不适用于当今社会,因此,通过她提供的所有研究、设计和学习项目,她现在承担的任务是改变教育体系,改变人们如何看待教育,把世界变成一个大教室,同时,帮人们创造更好的学习、工作、居住环境,让环境帮助人。

Be it on an individual or organizational level, life-long learning is very important skill to have. With the abundance of information in the informationl era, what people are missing is not the information itself, but the awareness and tools to filter what is most suitable for their own situation.
As such, we don't teach knowledge, but use the knowledge abundantly available to create unique learning environments in which learners can experience learning environments, methods and tools to allow them to understand what is most suitable for them, become independent thinkers while improving language, critical, systems, creative thinking skills.

Apart from innovating educational frameworks and ways of doing business, our company functions on the social entrepreneurship principles. As such, all our profit goes into funding an NGO to Social Entrepreneurship Pivoting Platform.
The idea came from the realization that even if charities and NGOs have a good purpose, the way they use the money is not sustainable and are always reliant on donors, who sometimes are not easy to find. This means that they fall at risk of stopping their projects when money runs out.
The academy proposes to repurpose charity fundraising into an investment fund to assist NGOs to pivot to a social enterprise business model, become sustainable and financially viable, thus create more value with less money.

Through the system that our business model is developing, we are in the unique position to address multiple SDGs at the same time.
