Ladies Who Tech in Action x OCBC Bank: Inclusive Tech
Ladies Who Tech in Action x OCBC Bank
2022 International Women’s Day Special: Inclusive Tech
What does Inclusive Tech mean? Why is Inclusive tech important? Is the tech industry inclusive? Find out on March 10 at 7pm on Zoom. All genders and professions welcome!
We are entering the web3 era and digital technologies are increasingly embedded in all aspects of human life. With the integration of these technologies into products and services, we also realized that biases and discrimination from AI-enabled systems have become increasingly common.
Technology, like other tools in life, by itself is neither positive nor negative but rather a reflection of its curation. Our leaders, as the curators, must guide its development, implementation, and accessibility in a way that is reflective of the values of the society we wish to create, and not simply a projection for business value.
This International Women’s Day, Ladies Who Tech and Women in Tech at OCBC Bank present you an IWD Special on Inclusive Tech. We will hear from leaders and allies from corporations and start-ups discussing why the access and use of information and communication technologies impact individuals and the community, and how technology can be inclusive. A digitally inclusive community is important to economic and workforce development, civic participation, education, healthcare, and public safety.
