位于东侧的会议中心是一座轻盈优雅、庄重而典雅的方正布局建筑，兼具会议功能与轻质展览空间。设计以简明抽象的手法，对中国古典建筑特征进行转译和传承，通过方正对称的格局、虚实有致的体量、宽大弯曲的屋面、理性规整的柱式，给予其新的诠释。
The Convention Center on the east is a light and elegant, solemn and classic building in a square layout for both conference and exhibitions. With a concise and abstract approach, the design interprets the characteristics of classical Chinese architecture, and gives them new expression through the square and symmetric layout, the void and solid volume, the broad and curvy roof, and the rational and orderly columns.
重要的中国古典建筑大都采用均衡对称的建筑格局， 会议中心建筑以200米见方的正方形平面，辅以1：4高宽比的立面，形成宏伟大气庄重的场所感。其内部的平面设计也沿用了方正严整的布局思想。向内凹进的弧线立面，四角微微翘起的屋顶，在消解巨大体量感的同时，赋予其张力。
Major classical Chinese buildings feature a balanced and symmetric architectural layout. The conference center has a square plan of 200 m, and a facade with 1:4 height-width ratio, generating a magnificent and solemn sense of place. Its interior plan continues the concept of square layout. The inwardly curving facade, as well as the four roof corners slightly tilted upward, relieves the sense of oppression from the massive volume and creates a sense of extension.

立面中上下白色月牙造型舒展，和月牙间的大玻璃幕墙形成虚实有致的对比。下月牙底部为内凹的首层全玻璃幕墙，在创造出建筑特有悬浮感的同时，形成开放友好的入口空间。夜幕降临时，上月牙将被点亮，形成滨河空间的标志景观。
The upper and lower white crescent shapes on facade stretch against the large glass curtain wall between them for a contrast of void and solid. Below the lower crescent is an inwardly curving full-glass curtain wall on the first floor, creating a unique floating sense for the building while serving as an open and friendly entrance space. When night falls, the upper crescent will be lit up as the landmark landscape of the riverfront space.
屋面设计并未采用传统的中式大屋顶，而是延续立面的月牙，形成宽大，弯曲变化的新屋面景致；而下月牙在外部形成出挑的入口灰空间，在内部形成公共玄关。上下月牙简明舒展的造型，赋予建筑古典优雅的气质。
Instead of the large-size traditional Chinese roof, the crescent from the facade presents a broad, curvy and changing new roof landscape; the lower crescent creates a grey entrance space overhanging outside and a public hallway inside. Upper and lower crescents in concise and stretching shape bring classical and elegant atmosphere.
会议中心选用了核心筒+桁架的悬挂结构体系，满足会议使用功能的同时，也创造了特有的无柱空间体验。在外立面，通过屋顶桁架悬挂的180 根钢柱，和上下月牙以线和面的方式呼应，传达出秩序感及庄重感。同时，因结构创新而得到的超纤细白色钢柱（柱高为45-30米，直径仅为0.6米），更是赋予了建筑精巧而别致的细节。
With a suspended structural system of core + truss, the Convention Center not only meets the requirements of conference functions, but also creates a unique experience of column-free spaces. On facade, 180 steel columns suspended from roof truss echo the upper and lower crescents in lines and surfaces, conveying a sense of order and solemnity. Besides, the ultra-thin white steel columns (45 to 30 m high and 0.6 m in diameter) through structural innovation enrich the building with more exquisite and unique details.

落成后的会议中心可提供总面积超过23000平米的会议空间及多功能空间，以及约2万平米的展览空间，它将填补西安及西北地区大型专业会议中心场馆的市场空白，可满足国际高峰论坛、双边及多边会议等大型会议和宴会的功能要求。将成为丝绸之路高峰论坛永久会址及西北地区功能最齐备、面积最大的综合性会议中心。
The completed Convention Center can offer more than 23,000 m2 meeting and multi-functional spaces, and about 20,000 m2 exhibition spaces, filling in the blank of large professional conference venues in Xi’an and the northwest region. in China. It can host large conferences and banquets such as international summits and forums, bilateral and multilateral meetings. As the permanent site for Silk Road summit forums, it will be the largest integrated convention center in northwest China in terms of function and scale.
