比尔·沃拉克（Bill Wolak）：

诗人，长居新泽西，威廉帕特森大学创意写作教授。近期由Ekstasis Editions（出版社）出版第十五部诗集《赤裸的辩护》。诗歌在百余种刊物上发表。最近一部译著是与Mahmood Karimi-Hakak合译的《爱我甚于他者：Iraj Mirza诗选》（2014年、Cross-Cultural Communications出版）。译作散见《The Su Journal》《Basalt》 、《国际视界》、《世界诗刊》、《亚特兰大评论》等。评论及访谈见《巴黎圣母院评论》、《波斯文化遗产》、《Gargoyle》、《南方人文评论》、《帕特森文学评论》、《Ascent》、《佛罗里达英语文学》、《第七采石场》及《质数》杂志。曾因在印度访学及旅行获得“国家基金”人文学科津贴及两次富布赖特海斯奖金。2007年，当选唯爱社（美国规模最大、历史最悠久的跨宗教和平正义组织）赞助的驻伊朗友好代表团成员。2010年夏，获得国家亚洲教学财团主办的中国及日本的实地调研名额。四次荣获印度诗歌节代表诗人。2016年荣获罗马尼亚及意大利举办的米哈伊·爱明内斯库国际诗歌节代表诗人。曾参加在意大利佩扎罗举办的佩扎罗国际诗歌节，西昌邛海·“丝绸之路”国际诗歌周，科索沃Ethnofest诗歌节等。

我渴欲那烈火所狂执的

总将万物

从它们的皮相中烧裂开来

就像烈焰使一面镜子分崩离析

我祈求那夏日所应许的

忍冬花茉莉与杜鹃花

所熏香的微风

酷暑将感冒磨得犀利

难忘的无数良宵的缱绻缠绵

犹如那些诗章中

你所环绕过的词句

我期冀那水流所盈握的

即使根系深钻的树木

也被漫江洪流连根拔起

我盼望那灰肥与土壤所挽留的

一种温柔将肉体点化为闪电的视觉残像

与毫无保留的酣畅

Song Without Warning

I want what fire craves

to hold everything always

to burn through appearance

like flames shattering a mirror.

I want what summer promises

in breezes perfumed by honeysuckle,

jasmine, andrhododendron blossoms

when heat quickens the senses

during nights of unforgettablelovemaking

like poems in which you

encircle every line.

I want what water clenches

when deep-rooted trees are swept away

by the river’s flood tide.

I want what compost and soil sustain,

褪下日光

不要捱过又一个漫漫严冬

    让钥匙开启那把锁吧

滑开拉链释放那黑暗

月亮肩头的齿痕

倏忽间它近在咫尺 如此不经意间

我将历书翻到

毒蝎翩跹之年

欲念总会失散在博物馆深处

    只有讲解员在引述

人体的魅惑

电话铃会停止鸣响

而显示屏上空空荡荡

    伐木者将他们的斧头

留在木桩上

这覆灭与毁殆之年

会像一对扑克A幽魂不散

    磁层中的变迁

令四季经纬杂乱如麻

    曾经的挚爱

最终不过是从你眼前飘逝的

慵懒欠伸的黄沙

你在沆漭大海上追寻

而它的腥膻只让你忆起

一座屠宰场

令人无法释怀的恶臭

你将变成一只                   

    在融化烛蜡中泅游的飞蛾

在闪电烤炙下

你的皮囊早已形同朽木

入殓师的最终报价

听起来像桩好交易

I’ve opened to the year
of dancing scorpions.
Desire will disappear into museums                                                              

   where docents will explain

the allure of nakedness.
Phones will stop ringing,
and screens will go blank.                                                               

    Woodcutters will abandon
their axes in stumps.
This year death and destruction
will linger as close as a pair of aces.                                                              

    Shifts in the magnetosphere
will cause the seasons to go haywire.                                             

    Someone you once loved
will become a yawn of sand
right in front of your face.
You will look out onthe sea
and its odor will only remind you
of the unforgettable stench
of the slaughterhouse.
You will become the moth                                                              

    swimming in candle wax.
Your body will be outlived
by heat lightning.
The undertaker’s final offer
will sound like a good deal.
Orpheus will not return
to sing the darkness
out of the underworld.

The lipstick acropolis of your jack-in-the-boxsmile

    appears abruptly as the end of a dream

when from the fifth floor walk-up fire escape
you drop the moon in a black guitar case
