百位国际大咖致百科诗派【3】：雅各布·布莱克斯利@罗马

大家好，我是雅各布·布莱克斯利（Jacob Blakesley），一名美国诗人和译者，目前任教于英国利兹大学，长居地为意大利罗马。  

非常荣幸，能借此机会向非凡的百科诗派、及其所有成员献上我盛大的新年祝福，愿你们迎来欢欣鼓舞的新一年！ 

我非常幸运能与殷晓媛女士和百科同仁们合作，为多元化诗歌思潮的全球传播尽一份力。身处当下时代环境，百科诗派展现出令人不可思议的生命力。我们置身于这个提倡“全球化”的时代，各种形式的排外思想和盲目文化根性却干扰着这一进程，成为了多向度意义上文学沟通的壁垒。 

正因如此，百科诗派所做出的努力对于文化发展与国际文化交流至关重要，在这样一个世界大范围内（尤其欧美）笼罩着政治危机的时代，亟需通过跨文化交互与国际诗歌交流进行全方位的引导。

在此，我祝愿百科诗派继续肩负起它对于诗歌、文学乃至文化的使命， 继续建设与世界各国诗人的文化桥梁，在未来的岁月发展得更加强盛！

Hello, my name is Jacob Blakesley, and I am an American poet and translator. I currently teach at the University of Leeds, in England, but I live in Rome, Italy.

It is my privilege to wish the Encyclopedic Poetry School and all those who form part of this marvellous group a very happy upcoming new year.

I feel very lucky to collaborate with Xiaoyuan Yin and fellow poets in spreading different poetic movements across the globe. In this day and age, I think the work that the Encyclopedic Poetry School does is incredibly vital. We live in a so-called globalised world, even though too often forces of xenophobia and cultural blindness hinder literary communication of all sorts. 

Thus, I think that the work that the Encyclopedic Poetry School does is fundamental to cultural well-being and mutual understanding. In an age of rampant political crises in many parts of the world, especially in Europe and the United States, it is all the more important that cross-cultural exchange and poetry flow internationally in every direction.

I hope then that the Encyclopedic Poetry School continues in its great poetic, literary, and cultural mission, and that its links with foreign poets increase and grow even stronger in the months and years to come.

利兹大学世界文学史学术研究员，“利兹大学但丁研究中心”负责人之一。著有多部诗歌翻译专著，包括《意大利现代诗人：不可能卷帙之译者》（多伦多大学出版社，2014）及《诗歌翻译的社会学途径：现代欧洲诗歌翻译家》 （Routledge, 2018）。资深诗歌及小说翻译家。获得国家艺术基金会文学翻译津贴，负责意大利先锋诗人Edoardo Sanguineti作品翻译项目。诗作收录于近期出版的《Verse Matters》年鉴（Valley Press, 2017）。
