West Co-Village is a start-up hub for overseas entrepreneurs in Xiwen Village, Xiacheng District. It occupies 14,000 square meters of space of the Xilian Business Center.

Overseas entrepreneurs are offered offices and accommodations by Xilian Group, the operator of West Co-Village.

Lu Qianqian, who has been working at Xilian since returning from overseas studies came up with the idea for a start-up hub to make Xiwen Village international.

"Many foreigners came to China to start businesses but they face a lot of challenges, such as a lack of knowledge about Chinese industrial policies and investment procedures, and they had no one to help them," said Lu.

Today, anyone who works at the center can get a whole range of services that save them both time and trouble to start up a business. "West Co-Village has an international vision and we hired foreigners as consultants for our clients."

After more than six months of operation, West Co-Village will set up an office in the Silicon Valley of the United States this month. 

It will cooperate with government agencies, business incubators, and research institutions in other parts of China to attract capital, talent and high-end projects to Hangzhou
