Companionship is a loose string that needs to be tied with the pearls of love as well as respect. You may love your woman the most, but unless you respect her,you won’t be able to go too far in the long run.

Respect Her Thoughts

Women are wired differently from men. They have typical traits, some of which men are not supposed to question (her obsessive need for retail therapy) and others they are supposed to duck (“Am I looking fat in this dress, darling?”). Try not enforcing your own sane and sober thoughts on her every now and then.

Respect Her Space

Your woman is committed to you more than you can ever surmise. On the odd occasion though, she might wish to stay by herself and not communicate with you for a certain period. This is a clear sign of a thoughtful person and giving her that space is important. Do not expect her to be at your beck and call all the time. And if she’s a working woman, don’t call her every time you feel like talking to her during the day. That is harassment, not love.

Respect Her Opinions

Your woman may be less educated than you or may not have been exposed to the outside world as much as you have been. But this does not give you the right to enforce your own opinions on her on every little detail. By doing this, you’re just showing off your machoness and playing the game of one-upmanship. Avoid this at all costs. When she tells you something, the least you must do is listen to her. If you disagree with her opinion, explain your stand with a proper justification rather than a blanket opinion.

A woman is comfortable in the safety and security that her friends and family provide. Little wonder they discuss the minutest details of their lives with these people. If you feel just winning the girl of your dreams was enough, you have another thought coming. One wrong word about you from her close circle can spell potential doom for your budding romance. Treat her friends and family as well as you would treat your own whenever you get the chance. Do not badmouth them and ask your girl to not interact with them. That will earn you her wrath, not love.

Respect Her Individuality

Women are the same as men when it comes to having their individuality. You have to look up to them and learn from them when you can, love them and care for them when they need you and listen to them when they have a valid point. Treating her as an object for your bedroom and kitchen pleasures is the worst signal to send to any woman.

By treating a woman with respect you are actually giving her the signal that you love her just the way she is. It’s the quickest and easiest way to her heart.
