The Prince of Funk was recorded over two days in the homes of Bai Hou. They used a cocktail kit of microphoned glasses and tins to make the drums. Hitting on them with cocktail spoons and ringing bells for percussion. They wanted to create a bar atmosphere in the song. The drum pattern is 808. This is the first published track where singer Richie Cormack got to show of his synth and bass playing skills.

It’s a short pop song, Bai Hou are trying to make you dance!

《放克王子》这首歌是在白猴乐队的家里，花了两天多的时间录出来的。他们把话筒对着玻璃杯和锡纸，自制了一套鼓，用鸡尾酒吧勺做鼓棒，用铃铛做打击乐，想要在这首歌里营造一种酒吧的氛围。鼓点使用808鼓机制作。在白猴所有已发布的作品中，这首歌让主唱Richie得以首次展现他的合成器及贝斯演奏技巧。

这是一首短小的流行歌，白猴希望你们能听着它舞动！

The lyrics are about how Richie feels about men and women approaching each other in bars. Trying to impress each other some show their strength, others flaunt money, some get aggressive, many play it cool. It’s all to get some love at the end of the night.

歌词表达了Richie如何看待酒吧里相互勾搭的男男女女。为了表现自己，有些人炫耀自己的力量，有些人炫富，有些人变得富有攻击性，更多的人则故作镇定。这一切，都是为了在夜晚结束前能得到一些爱。

Bai Hou are back in the studio at Mix Maker Music this weekend to finish their debut album.
