Shortly after receiving the call, four police officers arrived at the scene and saw a foreign man lying on the ground with vomit on his clothes. Apparently, he was drunk at the time and strongly refused the offer for an ambulance when the officers asked him.
The police then asked him to go to the police station to get some rest, but he also refused this offer. Thus, the police stayed on the scene with him until he was sober, which was around two hours later.
To ensure his safety, the police took him to his home, and walked his scooter there as well. Before arriving home, the man suddenly asked the police not to tell his wife about it in Chinese. The police promised him that they would tell a "white lie" and say that he was lost.
On the next day, the man went to the police station to thank the police in Chinese and tried to invite the officers for a coffee. However, they politely turned him down, and said “Don’t drink so much, that’s your best way to support to us."
According to the local police, since 2019, they have received nearly 200 cases similar to this one. They would like to remind people that a single drink could be a good way to relax, but drinking too much could bring trouble, or even danger!
