工作职责：This person will be responsible for integrating and analyzing the emerging large-scale genomic data from Asian cohorts that are being collected as part of the Bio-X Institute’s effort to expand large-scale psychiatric genetics research to include a more diverse range of ancestries. This person is also expected to integrate the genomic data with regulatory genome including expression, eQTL and epigenetics to drive the understanding of the regulatory function of disease associations.

任职资格：

· PhD required in mathematics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics or other data sciences. Neuroscience or psychology graduates with considerable computational experience will also be considered.

· Good publication history in computational biology, genetics or epigenetics research.

· Strong initiative and ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects essential.

· Solid understanding of genetic analysis methodologies and tools, and/or computational methods frequently used in analyzing the regulatory genome.

· Understanding of basic population genetics principles a plus.

· Practical experience with Linux environments and proficient in a least one of the following programming languages:  Java, C, MATLAB, R, Stata or Python.

· Familiarity with, or interest in studying, psychiatric phenotypes such as schizophrenia, autism and ADHD.

· Demonstrated attention to detail and analytical skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

· Must be flexible and able to respond to shifting priorities in a dynamic setting.

-Enhance molecular characterization of tumors for both clinical and research setting by designing and evaluating novel integrative approaches to the analysis of NGS cancer exome and transcriptome data

-Correlative analysis of patient outcomes, phenotypes, and immune readouts with diverse high dimensional data types (NGS-based, ) to identify biomarkers and mechanistic hypotheses about response and resistance to cancer vaccines and other therapies

任职资格：

-Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics or a related discipline + 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a scientist in an industry or academic setting with a strong record of publications/patents

-Experience developing and optimizing NGS-based software, especially that which relates to custom variant detection (for fusions, microsatellites, etc.) and variant phasing

-Experience executing, optimizing, and pipelining GATK tools

-Fluency in SAM/BAM file format specifications and the use samtools and pysam to interpret these files and evaluate variant support; familiarity with gene and variant annotation files (GTFs, VCFs)

简介：The laboratory of Dr. Stephen Oh is seeking a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic translational research team in the Division of Hematology at Washington University School of Medicine.

We are interested in the basic mechanisms that drive the initiation, development, and progression of hematologic malignancies. Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are clonal disorders typified by genetic alterations that activate JAK-STAT signaling. A major focus of the laboratory is to utilize single cell mass cytometry (CyTOF) to characterize dysregulated cytokine signaling networks in MPNs. For these efforts we work in conjunction with the Immunomonitoring Laboratory (IML) within the Center for Human Immunology and Immunotherapy Programs, which houses two CyTOF mass cytometers. This work will also encompass imaging mass cytometry via a Hyperion instrument that is being installed in the IML.Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Prior experience with flow cytometry, bioinformatics, genomics, and/or mouse models is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential.
