据《卫报》报道，在24日唐宁街10号的新闻发布会上，特雷莎·梅一度哽咽，她表示，担任英国首相是她“一生的荣耀”。

Speaking in Downing Street, May said it had been “the honour of my life” to serve as Britain's prime minister.

Her voice breaking, she said she would leave “with no ill will, but with enormous and enduring gratitude”.
