China inaugurated its science and technology innovation board on Thursday, kicking off the country's much-anticipated capital market reform this year.
13日，科创板开板，为我国今年备受期待的资本市场改革拉开帷幕。
短短200多天，从去年11月初的宣告到改革方案逐步清晰再到正式开板，中国资本市场迎来了一个全新板块。
中国证监会主席（chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, CSRC）易会满13日在陆家嘴论坛上举行的科创板开板仪式上表示：
The new market will support tech companies that are in line with the national strategies, make breakthroughs in core technologies and are well accepted by the market to grow stronger.
这一全新板块将着力支持符合国家战略、突破关键核心技术、市场认可度高的科技创新企业做优做强、发展壮大。
科创板的建设重点在于真正落实以信息披露为核心的证券发行注册制。
The sci-tech innovation board is the first submarket of China's capital market to adopt the registration-based initial public offerings mechanism, a core system of market-oriented reforms.
科创板是中国资本市场第一个采用以信息披露为核心的证券发行注册制的板块，注册制是市场化改革的核心机制。
易会满说，证监会将会同市场各方，坚持以增量改革带动存量改革，充分发挥科创板的改革试验田作用，形成可复制、可推广的经验。
Yi said the CSRC will promote experience from the sci-tech innovation board to push forward sweeping reforms of the capital market and build the capital market into a regulated, transparent and open one full of vigor and resilience.
易会满说，证监会将推广科创板的经验，以此带动资本市场全面深化改革，努力打造一个规范、透明、开放、有活力、有韧性的资本市场。
易会满指出：
"The sci-tech innovation board is full of broad development prospects, but it would inevitably meet some challenges during its development."
“科创板作为新生事物，具有广阔的发展前景，在成长过程中难免会遇到一些挑战。”
Yi vowed to stick to the market-oriented, law-based and international approach, respect the market rules and ensure the solid implementation of all reform measures.
易会满表示将坚持市场化、法治化、国际化的方向不动摇，尊重市场规律，保持改革定力，努力把改革抓实抓细抓到位。
