80分钟会见结束！双方同意重启经贸磋商，美方不再加征新关税

据新华社消息，在6月29日举行的中美元首会晤中，国家主席习近平和美国总统特朗普同意，中美双方在平等和相互尊重的基础上重启经贸磋商。美方表示不再对中国出口产品加征新的关税。两国经贸团队将就具体问题进行讨论。

China and the US agreed to restart trade talks on mutual respect and equal-footing during the talks between President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump held in Osaka, Japan on Saturday.

The US side said it will not add new tariffs on Chinese exports. The negotiation teams from the two countries will discuss the specific issues.

当地时间6月29日上午11时50分，国家主席习近平同美国总统特朗普在日本大阪举行会晤。

习近平在会晤开始时说，很高兴同总统先生在大阪见面。

48年前，也就是1971年，就在离这里100多公里的名古屋，参加第三十一届世界乒乓球锦标赛的中美乒乓球运动员进行了友好互动，这就是后来人们说的“乒乓外交”的开启，创造了“小球转动大球”的历史佳话。

At the beginning of their meeting, Xi recalled the start of "ping-pong diplomacy" in 1971 in Nagoya, Japan, where Chinese and US players had friendly interactions at the 31st World Table Tennis Championships.

8年之后的1979年，中美建立了外交关系。回顾建交以来的40年，国际形势和中美关系都发生了巨大变化，但一个基本的事实始终未变，那就是：中美合则两利、斗则俱伤，合作比摩擦好，对话比对抗好。

Eight years after that, China and the United States established diplomatic relations in 1979, Xi said.

Despite the great changes that have taken place in the international situation and China-US relations during the past 40 years, "one basic fact remains unchanged: China and the United States both benefit from cooperation and lose in confrontation," Xi said. "Cooperation and dialogue are better than friction and confrontation."

近来，我同总统先生通过电话和书信保持着密切联系。今天，我愿同总统先生就事关中美关系发展的根本性问题交换意见，为下阶段两国关系发展定向把舵，推进以协调、合作、稳定为基调的中美关系。

Noting that he and Trump have maintained frequent telephone and mail contact recently, Xi said he is prepared to exchange views with the US president on fundamental issues concerning the development of China-US ties, so as to "set a direction for our relationship in a period to come and to advance the China-US relationship based on coordination, cooperation and stability." 

当地时间29日13时，国家主席习近平与美国总统特朗普的会见结束，会见时间约80分钟。
