今年是希望工程实施30周年，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平近日寄语希望工程。
习近平指出，希望工程实施30年来，帮助数以百万计的贫困家庭青少年圆了上学梦、成长为奋斗在祖国建设各条战线上的栋梁之材。希望工程在助力脱贫攻坚、促进教育发展、服务青少年成长、引领社会风尚等方面发挥了重要作用。
Over the past 30 years, Project Hope has helped millions of young people from poor families realize their dream of going to school and grow into pillars of society on all fronts, Xi said, speaking highly of the program's important role in assisting poverty relief, boosting education, helping youth growth and forming social ethos.

习近平强调，让青少年健康成长，是国家和民族的未来所系。进入新时代，共青团要把希望工程这项事业办得更好，努力为青少年提供新助力、播种新希望。
Stressing that the nation and the people's future hinges on the youth's healthy growth, Xi required the Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) organizations to better promote the program and offer more assistance to the young generation in the new era.
全党全社会要继续关注和支持希望工程，让广大青少年都能充分感受到党的关怀和社会主义大家庭的温暖，努力成长为社会主义建设者和接班人。
The whole Party and society should continue to pay attention to and support Project Hope so that the young people can fully feel the care of the Party and the warmth of the big socialist family, and be well-prepared to join the socialist cause, Xi noted.
希望工程是共青团中央、中国青少年发展基金会于1989年发起实施的，以改善贫困地区基础教育设施、救助贫困地区失学少年重返校园为使命的社会公益事业。
截至2019年9月，全国希望工程已累计接受捐款152.29亿元，资助家庭经济困难学生599.42万名，援建希望小学20195所。进入新世纪，特别是国家全面实施“两免一补”政策后，希望工程将资助对象扩大到高中、职业教育和高等教育阶段的学生，拓展了救助模式。
Project Hope was launched in 1989 by the CCYL Central Committee and China Youth Development Foundation. As of September 2019, it had received over 15.2 billion yuan (around 2.16 billion US dollars) in donations, aided nearly 6 million students in financial difficulty, and built 20,195 primary schools.
党的十九大以来，希望工程聚焦教育扶贫，积极参与脱贫攻坚，将“三区三州”等重点扶贫地区的建档立卡贫困家庭学生作为主要资助对象。
据了解，为让每个孩子都能享有公平而有质量的教育，下一步希望工程将继续积极资助10万名建档立卡贫困家庭学生完成学业，以实际行动助力脱贫攻坚，为决胜全面建成小康社会担负时代使命。
