澳议员被“抄家”，只因称赞中国抗疫，赵立坚：这是偏执症
近日，有报道称，澳大利亚一位称赞中国防疫工作的议员被该国情报部门“抄家”，理由是搜查他“私通中国”、“为中国渗透澳大利亚”的“证据”。
对此，外交部发言人赵立坚回应称，澳大利亚国内一些政客似乎患上了对华恐惧和臆想的“偏执症”。

Some politicians in Australia seem to be suffering from paranoia, dominated by China-phobia and conjectures to the extent of losing all sense of rationality and justice.
❶ Phobia 指的是对某种事物或情境的极端恐惧，通常无法解释、毫无来由。
Phobia既可以独立成词，也可以作为词缀组成新词，常见的有：
claustrophobia /ˌklɒstrəˈfəʊbiə/ 幽闭恐惧症
acrophobia /,ækrə'fəʊbɪə/ 恐高症
xenophobia /ˌzenəˈfəʊbiə/ 排外症、恐外症
❷ “意合”与“形合”
汉语重“意合”（parataxis），即汉语语句靠意思来保持逻辑上的连贯（coherence）。
而英文则要求结构上的完整（cohesion），即“形合”( hypotaxis)，借助语言形式手段，包括词汇和形态手段，实现词语和句子的连接。
因此，在汉译英时，通常要将汉语中隐含的逻辑关系译出。
比如，翻译“患上了……的‘偏执症’，丧失了起码的理性和公正”这句话时，就要先将原句逻辑补充完整，变成：
患上了“偏执症”，（甚至于、以至于，to the extent of）丧失了起码的理性和公正”。

如此一来，译文就更加流畅地道。

❶ “打着……的幌子”即以某事为掩饰，实际做的却是另一回事，可以用习语under/in the guise of something来表达。
❷ 莫须有的罪名，指的是没有根据的指控，译为groundless accusation，指控某人可以表达为make an accusation against someone。
干涉他国内政不是中国外交的“基因”，这顶帽子绝对扣不到中国头上。
Interfering in other countries' domestic affairs is not in the "genes" of China's diplomacy and such a label shall never be pinned on China.
❶ “不是中国的外交基因”不要直译为is not the genes of China’s diplomacy，而应加上介词in，意为“在基因里”，更符合英语逻辑严密的特点。
❷ 与生俱来的、固有的可以利用如下的表达：
in the genes (of)
in the blood (of)
例句：
That type of passion can't be taught — it's in the blood.
那种热情教不出来，那是与生俱来的。
❸ 扣帽子是一个比喻，翻译时我们可以用英文常用的相近比喻：pin a label on someone，给某人贴标签。
例句：
It didn't matter what label anyone wanted to pin on a certain artist, all that mattered was the effect the music had on me.
别人想给某位艺术家贴什么标签并不重要，重要的是他的音乐作品对我产生的影响。
