逼疯英国人！美国网红视频教泡茶，引发一场“外交风波”
前不久，一个不懂英国茶文化的美国小姐姐，因为发了一则泡茶教学视频，捅了马蜂窝，甚至还引发了一场“外交风波”。
网友戏称，这简直是一部“鄙视链大型连续剧”。
先来看看这位姐妹是怎样泡茶的：
It all began in early May when an American TikTok user named Michelle, from North Carolina, sparked howls of rage across social media platforms with her controversial guide to making "British tea."

英国人一下子就不干了：我们引以为傲的“国民饮品”哪能这么做？

先是英国驻美大使皮尔斯女士（Karen Pierce）录了视频，不仅她本人亲自出镜，还召齐了海陆空三军，分别演示正宗的英式茶该怎么做：
Dame Karen Pierce, British Ambassador to the United States in Washington, called in the military. Yes, that's right, on a video posted Monday she got the boys from the British Army, Navy and Air Force to demonstrate how to prepare tea.
视频里可是划了重点：不能用微波炉！要烧水，泡茶，再加奶！
Not using a microwave, use a kettle. Leave your teabag to brew. Then you just add milk and there you are, a proper cup of British tea.
美国驻英大使：
扬长避短教做咖啡
英国连军队都搬出来了，那美方当然也坐不住了：美国驻英大使约翰逊（Woody Johnson）没过两天就在推特发布了视频，还在文案中点了皮尔斯的名。
约翰逊也十分机智：我来教你做咖啡，咖啡可是英国人的弱项！这下总不会再出岔子了吧？
His strategy was a smart one. He went after Britain's weakness: coffee. How could he possibly go wrong?
结果，他又犯了个大错：竟然用了速溶咖啡！
The problem is that he makes what appears to be an absolutely terrible cup of coffee. He commits the cardinal sin of using instant coffee. 问题是，他做了一杯看起来糟糕透顶的咖啡，他犯了一个严重的罪过，用了速溶咖啡！

泡英式茶的11条秘籍
说到底，这一切还是源于英国人对于“正宗英式茶”的执念。
英国人亲切地管茶叫做cuppa（cup of tea）。他们认为，没什么事儿是一杯茶解决不了的。如果有，那就再来一杯。
乔治·奥威尔（George Orwell）
英国著名作家乔治·奥威尔（George Orwell）就曾专门写过一篇文章：《一杯好茶》（A Nice Cup of Tea），他在这篇文章里列出了十一条“泡茶黄金法则”：
First of all, one should use Indian or Ceylonese tea. 首先，当用印度或是锡兰茶叶。
Secondly, tea should be made in small quantities — that is, in a teapot. 其次，茶需是少泡少饮。那则是指每次只能一壶。
Thirdly, the pot should be warmed beforehand. 第三，泡茶前要先温壶。
Fourthly, the tea should be strong. 第四，茶要浓。
Fifthly, the tea should be put straight into the pot. No strainers, muslin bags or other devices to imprison the tea. 第五，茶叶要直接放入壶中。不要用滤网、茶包或其他东西束缚住茶叶。
Sixthly, one should take the teapot to the kettle and not the other way about. The water should be actually boiling at the moment of impact, which means that one should keep it on the flame while one pours...第六，要把茶壶拿到开水壶边接热水，而不是反过来。水遇茶叶的那一瞬间水应当滚开，那就意味着应当趁水壶还在灶头上之时倒水。

不过，并不是所有英国人都认可以上法则。对于先加奶还是先泡茶的问题，英国人自己也杠了许多年。
有人说，贵族喜欢先泡茶，而工人阶级习惯先加奶。因为普通人买不起高级瓷器，普通瓷器遇到开水容易裂。
