浙江大学伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区联合学院 (Zhejiang University - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute, ZJUI) 是浙江大学(ZJU)与美国伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟校区(UIUC)合作设立的非独立法人中外合作办学机构。2016年2月经教育部批准成立。依托两校的办学资源、工科专业的优势和长期合作的良好基础，ZJUI以“培养工程之俊杰，成就明日之领袖”为目标，汇聚了国际一流的师资队伍，打破传统工程学科界限，逐步创设了若干多学科交叉教育与研究平台，进一步建设多元创新、融汇中西的世界一流工程教育与研究体系，为全球工程领域的融合创新发展构筑新生态。学院开设的本科专业包括土木工程、电子与计算机工程、电气工程及其自动化、机械工程等，开设的硕士专业包括电子信息、能源动力、机械、土木水利等，此外还有电子科学与技术等23个博士专业方向。学院授课及学生活动均以英文进行，国际化特色显著。

为进一步完善科学基金人才资助体系，充分发挥科学基金引进和培养人才的功能，吸引海外优秀青年人才回国（来华）工作，国家自然科学基金委员会（以下简称自然科学基金委）2023年继续实施国家自然科学基金优秀青年科学基金项目（海外）。
优秀青年科学基金项目（海外）旨在吸引和鼓励在自然科学、工程技术等方面已取得较好成绩的海外优秀青年学者（含非华裔外籍人才）回国（来华）工作，自主选择研究方向开展创新性研究，促进青年科学技术人才的快速成长，培养一批有望进入世界科技前沿的优秀学术骨干，为科技强国建设贡献力量。
资助模式：1.资助强度：100-300万元2.资助期限：3年01
申请人条件
优秀青年科学基金项目（海外）的申请人应当具备以下条件：
（1）遵守中华人民共和国法律法规，具有良好的科学道德，自觉践行新时代科学家精神；
（2）出生日期在1983年1月1日（含）以后；
（3）具有博士学位；
（4）研究方向主要为自然科学、工程技术等；
（5）在取得博士学位后至2023年3月15日前，一般应在海外高校、科研机构、企业研发机构获得正式教学或者科研职位，且具有连续36个月以上工作经历；在海外取得博士学位且业绩特别突出的，可适当放宽工作年限要求；
（6）取得同行专家认可的科研或技术等成果，且具有成为该领域学术带头人或杰出人才的发展潜力。

限项要求
执行中央有关部门关于国家科技人才计划统筹衔接的要求。同层次国家科技人才计划只能承担一项，不能逆层次申请。

工作和生活待遇

ZJUI Invites Overseas Scholars
for NSFC Fund
The ZJU-UIUC Institute is the engineering college on the Zhejiang University (ZJU) International Campus in China, which is established jointly by the partnership of Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016. The ZJU-UIUC Institute offers undergraduate and graduate degrees(Master and PhD) in civil & environmental engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering. Classes and student activities are conducted in English.
The institute conducts teaching and multidisciplinary research in broad program themes of Engineering Sciences for Devices and Applied Materials, Data and Information Science, Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Systems. Applications are welcome from relevant computer, electrical and electronic, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, physics and mathematics science disciplines. The Institute has interests that address but are not limited to interdisciplinary topics exemplified by Computer and Digital Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, System and Networking, Intelligent Transportation System, Environmental Sustainability, Intelligent Manufacturing, Biomechanics, Control, Power and Energy, Robotics, Materials Science and Engineering.

Program Introduction
The Science Fund Program for Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Overseas) aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scholars from overseas (including foreign scholars) who have made achievements in natural science, engineering and technology to carry out innovative research in their own choice of research direction in China.
Funding
1. Funding: 1 to 3 million yuan.
2. Duration of funding: 3 years.

Eligibility
Compliance with the laws and regulations of China; having good research ethics, and being good practitioner of the spirit of science.
Born after Jan 1. 1983 (inclusive).
A PhD degree in relevant areas.
Research in the field of life science, engineering and information etc.
Having obtained a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D institution, and worked for more than 36 consecutive months before March 15, 2023. For those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the limitation of work experience may be appropriately relaxed.
Having obtained achievements of scientific research or technology recognized by peer experts and having the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in related field.

Work and Living Conditions
Academic environment: Enjoying the top academic reputation of Zhejiang University, open and inclusive research environment and international education conditions built by a collegial internationalized faculty.
Career development: A tenure-track position of Zhejiang University; Potential joint appointment of our partnering universities (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) after evaluation.
Remuneration and benefits: Annual salary starting from a half million yuan in line with qualifications, plus benefits.
Research support: Start-up fund from 4 million yuan (including grant by NSFC) in line with qualifications, plus strong support for allocation of doctor/master students and postdoctoral recruitment quota. A bilingual campus with international efficient administrative and service structure.
Housing arrangement: Rental of fully furnished apartment，or purchase of an on-campus Hainashire townhouse/apartment.
Other support: Enrollment of children in preferred local schools, and assistance in seeking employment opportunities for spouse. Fine medical services provided by the two branch sections of the affiliated hospitals of ZJU in the neighborhood.
