　　应朝鲜外务相李勇浩邀请，国务委员兼外交部长王毅将于5月2日至3日访问朝鲜。

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lu Kang announces:

State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay a visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) from May 2 to 3 at the invitation of the DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho.

　　2018年4月3日下午，国务委员兼外交部长王毅会见正在北京过境的朝鲜外相李勇浩。

State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong Ho who stopped over in Beijing on the afternoon of April 3, 2018.

　　王毅表示，金正恩委员长日前成功访华，习近平总书记同金正恩委员长就发展中朝关系和推进半岛核问题的和平解决达成重要共识。当前形势下，维护和发展中朝传统友谊对两国和地区都十分重要。两国外交部门应加强各层级交流，尽快将两国最高领导人北京会晤的成果落到实处。

Wang Yi said H.E. Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, paid a successful visit to China. During the visit, General Secretary Xi Jinping and Chairman Kim Jong Un reached important consensus on the development of China-DPRK relations and the promotion of a peaceful solution to the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue. Under the current situation, maintaining and developing the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK is very important for both countries and the region. It is imperative that the two foreign ministries strengthen exchanges at all levels and implement the consensus reached by the top leaders of the two countries as soon as possible.

　　李勇浩表示，朝中两国最高领导人的成功会晤为朝中关系发展提供了重要契机。朝方愿与中方落实好两国最高领导人共识，加强高层互访和各层级外交沟通，继承和发展好朝中传统友好关系。

Ri Yong Ho said the successful meeting between the leaders of the DPRK and China has provided an important opportunity for the development of bilateral ties. The DPRK is ready to work with China to implement the consensus of both leaders, enhance high-level exchanges and diplomatic communication at all levels, so as to inherit and develop the DPRK-China traditional friendly relations.

　　王毅表示，中方赞赏朝方致力于半岛无核化立场以及为缓和半岛形势所作的重要努力，支持朝韩、朝美首脑举行会晤。中方将继续劝和促谈，为推动实现半岛无核化目标、建立半岛和平机制做出积极努力。李勇浩表示，朝方将按照两国最高领导人北京会晤指明的方向，就半岛相关问题与中方保持密切战略沟通。

Wang Yi said China appreciates the DPRK's commitment to the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and its important efforts to ease the situation on the peninsula. China supports the summit between the DPRK and the Republic of Korea(ROK) as well as the summit between the DPRK and the United States. China will continue to promote peace talks and make positive efforts to promote the goal of a nuclear-free peninsula and the establishment of a peace mechanism on the peninsula. Ri Yong Ho said the DPRK will maintain close strategic communication with China on issues related to the peninsula in line with the direction specified by both leaders in Beijing.
