Power of Youth | CCNU Volunteers to Fight Epidemic
In the past few months, CCNUers actively participated in various voluntary activities and contributed to the prevention of the epidemic.
The School of Economics and Business Management
The School of Economics and Business Management shared the story of undergraduates fighting against the epidemic through live broadcast. Several students described the process of volunteering in the community during the outbreak of COVID-19, setting a good example for all CCNUers.
The School of Fine Arts
The School of Fine Arts mobilized everyone to participate in fighting againt the epidemic by organizing a Youth Day event. Many students used their expertise to create art works to cheer people up in the special time.
The Post-00s generation did their utmost to contribute to society during the epidemic.
Song Xiran is a freshman from the School of Fine Arts. After learning the serious circumstance in Hebei Province, she resolutely joined the local community in anti-epidemic services and signed a volunteer confidentiality agreement. In addition, she officially assisted the community in carrying out supplies as a volunteer on February 25.
The School of Foreign Languages
Wang Diandian is a student of Japanese Department of the School of Foreign Languages. She noticed the news of “Jingzhou City Volunteer Team for Epidemic Prevention” and decided to join the team. The team actively get in touch with people at home and abroad through the Internet to raise medical supplies such as facial masks, disinfectants, gloves, goggles and so on. All the supplies were then donated to hospitals in need. “I just did my best to do a little more”, she said.

The School of Marxism
Xie Xinyu, 2017 undergraduate majoring in Ideological and Political Education.
Xie participated in helping children of first-line medical staff in epidemic prevention. She made a teaching plan for students seriously. At the same time, she voluntarily joined the epidemic prevention team at her hometown with her mother.
Yang Yujuan comes from the same department as Xie Xinyu. Yang participated in the epidemic prevention work of the village committee, assisted the village cadres in sorting out all kinds of information via computer and helped other villagers to register their information. She also tutored children of first-line medical staff, helping them with their homework.
The School of Chemistry
Cai Zheng from the School of Chemistry accompanied a girl in Wuhan whose parents weren’t around. With Cai’s help, the girl has become more outgoing.
Another student Li Miao served as a volunteer in her community helping with preventing and controlling the epidemic.
It is such a special period. Each and every one of us should take actions, try our best, and fight for our shared future.
