LOVE in CCNU, what does it mean?
L means Lyrical
I'm a lyrical imaginer.
I imagine, to have a great man to go after, a great spirit to remember.
And there is a statue of Yun Daiying, whose feat shall inspire my generation forever.
For revitalizing the nationality, I spare no effort.
I imagine, the Mother Nature will receive accolade.
And there is, a sparkling lake, a wavering shade, and a tranquil glade.
May the beauty never fade.
I imagine, to have atmospheric architectures built, not just to have some bricks piled.
There is the Multi-functional Building in Nanhu with various high-tech teaching equipment,
And the building of School of Fine Arts whose quaint walls can be seen from miles.
At nights, I dream about every tile.
O means Optimistic
One hurdle, two hurdles, three hurdles...
No one knows how many hurdles have been overcome,
And there are still lots of hurdles approaching.
But I won’t fear tripping or falling.
Good rewards follow jumping and sprinting.
I stay tenacious, heedless of the pain and tortures.
Though life is like an endless hurdle race,
Where there stands me, there is a smiling face.
V means Voluntary
So proud, indeed, I’m a volunteer.
I go, and devote,
Wherever I am needed as a helper.
I hear the children’s voice for knowledge, in the remote countryside.
With care and skills, I awaken their souls.
Never stop in the hot summer, or the cold winter, we will grow together.
I hear a call, to build a beautiful community;
I do thoughtful surveys;
I design practical schemes.
Wise ideas are turned into successful means.
E means Enthusiastic
Like stars merge into the inky sky,
Like algae waves with the rhythmic tide,
I am dwelling in the zest for iridescent life.
Short strolls along the tranquil Guizhong Road at sunrise,
Scrumptious meals in the school cafeteria at noon,
Sweet caresses of brisk winds at moonlit night,
All invigorate me,
Whose enthusiasm for life, learning, and work is everlasting.
C means Convenient
On campus, I offer convenience to everyone.
With less fatigue but more relaxation,
You can enjoy electric vehicle sharing service on your way to and from classes.
The courier station is installed with self-service pick-up lockers,
Which allow you to pick up packages in two or three minutes.
What if you want to replenish energy between classes?
Look at the vending machines in the teaching building!
Just tap the screen to pay,
then you can enjoy various snacks and drinks.
C means Colorful
Green on the roofs of most buildings,
Hid in countless towering green trees.
Blue in the clear sky on Boya Square,
Where I spend lots of pleasant time.
Red on the runway on Youming Stadium.
Orange in the sunset glow at dusk time...
Needless to mention the grand view of the colorful fountain.
How beautiful!
N means Neighborly
Friendliness runs in my blood.
In the dormitory, roommates take care of each other.
In class, classmates make progress together.
Even in races, athletes hold the belief that Friendship First.
U means United
Honestly, I am not alone.
Behind me, there stand thousands of CCNUers.
CCNU is a united family, where cooperation is a normality.
Sometimes in group work,
All members actively brainstorm to hammer out an optimal solution.
Sometimes in competitions,
Teammates united as one, make concerted
efforts to achieve great results.
Sometimes when I am confronted with the question of development,
CCNUers stand together to improve the teaching and research competence.
Roy Croft wrote, ''I love you, not for what you are, but for what l am when I am with you.'' The same love exists between us and CCNU. LOVE & CCNU, means that CCNU is brimming with love. We love CCNU for it is her that makes us a better person. Let's confront the future with this love together!
Love in CCNU never fades.
