Rwanda is a landlocked country in east-central Africa. It is also known as the "Land of a thousand hills," it borders Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. The capital city of Rwanda is Kigali.

卢旺达是中非东部内陆国家。它也被称为“千山之地”，北部与乌干达接壤，东接坦桑尼亚，南与布隆迪接壤，西与刚果民主共和国交界。卢旺达的首都是基加利。

The flag of Rwanda contains three horizontal stripes, light blue, yellow and green from the top to bottom respectively, it also features a yellow sun and sunrays spreading in all directions on the light blue stripe.

卢旺达国旗由上至下分为淡蓝色、黄色和绿色三条水平条纹，在淡蓝色条纹上还有黄色的太阳和向四面八方扩散的太阳光线。

The sun and sunrays represent enlightenment, light blue color is a symbol of happiness and peace, green represents Rwanda's prosperity, and yellow is a symbol of potential and real economic development.

阳光和扩散的太阳光线代表启迪，淡蓝色代表幸福与和平，绿色代表卢旺达的繁荣，黄色代表潜力和经济发展。

The national anthem of Rwanda is "Rwanda Nziza" which means "Beautiful Rwanda." Its population as of 2019 estimates is 12,790,240.

卢旺达的国歌是《Rwanda Nziza》，意思是“美丽的卢旺达”。其2019年人口估计数为一千二百七十九万零二百四十。

The Rwandan Government is seeking to become a regional leader in the service industry and aims to reach middle income status by 2020. With this vision many projects have been developed to attract foreign investors.

卢旺达政府正在寻求成为服务业的区域领导者，并计划到2020年达到中等收入水平。有了这一愿景，许多项目被开发以吸引外国投资者。

Kigali Conference Center 基加利会议中心

KCC is one of the Rwanda's famous landmarks and trademark. It is easy to notice that almost every major event in the country bears a sign of the mighty dome. Rwanda aims to become a regional Meetings and Events (MICE) destination, thus the building of the KCC.

基加利会议中心是卢旺达最有名的地标和商标之一。在卢旺达几乎每一个重大事件都会展示其大圆顶的标志。卢旺达的目标是成为地方会议和活动（MICE）的目的地，从而建立基加利会议中心。

KivuWatt gas power plant 基伍瓦特燃气发电厂

Lake Kivu is one of the world’s deepest lakes and is estimated to hold 60 billion cubic metres of methane gas (CH4) and 300 billion cubic meters of CO2 at a water depth of 350m. The harmful gases are expected to saturate the lake in 50 to 200 years, which poses a gas eruption threat to more than two million people along its shores. The construction of KivuWatt gas power plant has two benefits, one is to reduce the risk of a possible outburst of the gas, and two generating electricity.

基伍湖是世界上最深的湖泊之一，据估计，在350米的水深处有600亿立方米的甲烷气体（CH4）和3000亿立方米的二氧化碳，预计这些有害气体将在50至200年内使基伍湖饱和，对沿岸200多万人构成气体喷发威胁。基伍瓦特燃气发电厂的建设有两个好处，一是降低了气体喷发的风险，二是发电。

Mara Phone 马拉手机

Rwanda unveiled its first Made in Rwanda Smartphone this October. It's expected that once operating at full capacity, the manufacturing plant for the Mara Phones will be producing 1 million phones a year.

今年10月，卢旺达发布了首款卢旺达制造的智能手机。预计一旦满负荷运转，马拉手机的制造厂每年将生产100万部手机。

Last year, Rwanda launched its first car Assembly plant by Volkswagen.

Kigali 基加利

Kigali is the capital city of Rwanda. It is one of the cleanest and safest cities in Africa. The Kigali City Master Plan outlines the future of the city, with plans for a new city to be built south of the current city center.

基加利是卢旺达的首都。它是非洲最干净、最安全的城市之一。基加利城市总体规划概述了城市的未来，并计划在当前城市中心的南面建设一座新城市。

Rwanda is the first country in the world to completely ban the use of plastic bags. It is also a country in which women are the majority in the parliament.

卢旺达是世界上第一个完全禁止使用塑料袋的国家，也是议会中女性占多数的国家。

Golden Monkeys

金丝猴

Rwanda is a country with 5 major volcanoes. They are Karisimbi, Muhabura, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga. Karisimbi is the highest volcano among the others sitting at 4507m above sea level.

卢旺达有五座主要火山，分别是卡里辛比，穆哈布拉，比索克，萨比尼约，加尹加。卡里辛比是海拔四千五百零七米的高火山，是卢旺达的最高火山。

Rwanda has four national parks. Volcanoes National Park is the most visited of all, it also is the oldest national park in Africa. It was made into a national park as early as 1925.

卢旺达有四个国家公园。火山国家公园是游客最多的，也是非洲最早的国家公园。早在1925年，它就被宣布为国家公园。

Mountain Gorillas 山地大猩猩

Lake Kivu 基伍湖

Part of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Kivu is on the border between Rwanda & DR Congo.  A great relaxing region where tourists are safe to visit and swim (ask locals where) and it is also extremely picturesque

Butare (Huye) 布塔雷

This is the cultural hub for the country and was once the most important city before 1965.  Here you will find a national museum that will show the history of Rwanda. Visit the nearby Nyabisindu (Nayanza) where you can find the impressive royal palace of Rwanda's feudal monarchy.

Akagera National Park 阿卡杰拉国家公园

Akagera national park is the largest protected wetland in Africa. It was named after the Akagera River which flows along its eastern boundary.

China Rwanda Relations 中卢关系

China and Rwanda established diplomatic relations on November 12, 1971. Last year, Rwanda and China signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement, which saw the Chinese government pledge 200 million RMB YUAN (about US$32 million) that would go straight to the extension of IPRC-Musanze and the drilling of 200 boreholes among other projects. 

中国和卢旺达于1971年11月12日建交。去年，卢旺达和中国签署了一项经济技术合作协议，中国政府承诺提供2亿人民币（约合3200万美元）的资金，直接用于延长IPRC Musanze和其他项目。

China has also invested US$60 million into Rwanda’s agriculture sector and rural development programmes, with an additional $20 million channelled into solar projects to bring electricity to schools and health centres.

中国还向卢旺达的农业部门和农村发展计划投资了6000万美元，另外2000万美元用于太阳能项目，为学校和卫生中心供电。

Confucius Institute was established at the University of Rwanda in 2009, it teaches the Chinese language and the country’s culture.

In order to boost tourism, Rwanda and Arsenal FC signed a 3-year deal worth 273,237,000 Chinese Yuan. The video below shows the Rwandan cultural troupe surprising Arsenal players during their training.
