The Democratic Republic of the Congo is a country in Africa. It borders Central African Republic and South Sudan to the north, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania to the east, Zambia to the south, Angola to the southwest, and the Republic of the Congo and Atlantic Ocean to the west.

刚果金是非洲国家。东与乌干达、卢旺达、布隆迪和坦桑尼亚交界，南接赞比亚，北与中非和南苏丹交界，西南接安哥拉，西部接刚果布和大西洋。

National Anthem 国歌 

The national anthem of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is Debout Congolaise, meaning Arise Congolese in English.

刚果金的国歌是<起来，刚果人>。

National Flag 国旗

The national flag of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a sky-blue flag with a yellow star at the upper left corner and cut diagonally by a red stripe with two yellow fimbriations.

刚果金的国旗是天蓝色旗，左上角有一颗黄色的五角星，中间一条带有黄色流苏的红色条纹斜切而成。

Currency 货币

The currency used in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the Congolese franc.

刚果金使用的货币是刚果法郎。

Natural Resources 自然资源

DRC is rich in minerals and it is the largest exporter of Coltan which is the main mineral used to produce computers and smartphones. Other resources include but are not limited to uranium, diamonds, gold, copper, cassiterite, timber, and oil.

刚果金矿产资源丰富，是钶钽铁矿最大出口国，钶钽铁矿是生产电脑和智能手机的主要原料。其他资源主要包括铀、钻石、黄金、铜、锡石、木材和石油等。

Kinshasa is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

金沙萨是刚果金的首都。

It is separated from the capital city of the Republic of the Congo, Brazzaville, by the Congo river making them the two closest capital cities on Earth after Rome and the Vatican City.

它与刚果共和国首都布拉柴维尔隔刚果河相望，成为继罗马和梵蒂冈之后世界上距离最近的两个国家首都。

In 1974, Kinshasa hosted the Rumble in the Jungle boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Ali defeated Foreman to regain the World Heavy weight title.

一九七四年的时候，金沙萨举办了 The Rumble in the Jungle 拳击比赛，穆罕默德阿里击败了乔治并重新夺回重量级世界冠军。

Virunga National Park 维龙加国家公园

Virunga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the eastern DRC. It is Africa’s oldest national park and home to mountain gorillas.

维龙加国家公园是联合国教科文组织世界遗产地，位于刚果金东部。它是非洲最老的国家公园，也是山地大猩猩的家园。

Mount Nyiragongo is an active volcano with an elevation of 3,470m in the Virunga Mountains.

尼拉贡戈是一座活火山，海拔三千四百七十米，位于维龙加山脉。

Boyoma Waterfall 博伊马瀑布

Boyoma Falls comprises 7 cataracts over 100 km of the Lualaba River between river port towns of Kisangani and Ubundu. It has one of the greatest volume of flow, that is 17 million liters per second over a drop of 60 meters.

博伊奥马瀑布群由7处瀑布组成，位于基桑加尼和乌本杜的港口城镇之间，距离Lualaba 河100多公里。它是世界上流量最大的瀑布之一，在60米的落差上每秒1,700万升。

Okapi 霍加狓

Okapi can only be found in DRC. With its white-and-black striped hindquarters and front legs, it looks like it must be related to zebras! But take a look at its head and you’ll notice a resemblance to giraffes.

霍加狓是刚果金独有的珍惜动物。其臀部和前后腿部的黑白条纹看起来像斑马，但是仔细，会发现它的头部和长颈鹿很像。

Zongo falls 宗果瀑布

Zongo falls are about 130 kilometers from Kinshasa. In addition to the Zongo Waterfall, there is a very special site nearby called the Chute de massage or massage waterfall located near the Zongo Beach. There is a smooth rock that you can sit/stand on as the little waterfall pours on you, it feels like a massage.

宗果瀑布距离金沙萨约130公里。除了宗果瀑布，还有个非常特别的按摩瀑布，位于宗果沙滩附近。瀑布下面有个光滑的岩石，人们可以坐或者站在上面，小瀑布倾泻在身上会感觉就像是在按摩。

Other attractions include Kahuzi-Biéga National Park, Lola ya Bonobo Sanctuary, Serpents du Congo, Senkwekwe Gorilla Orphanage, and National Museum.

其他景点包括 Kahuzi Bi_ga 国家公园、Lola Ya Bonobo 庇护所、刚果蛇、Senkwekwe 大猩猩孤儿院和国家博物馆。

Note: DRC has suffered and is still suffering tragic times, the presence of armed troupes in North and South Kivu and other places makes it dangerous for tourists to visit because these groups have been known to perform all kinds of crimes. But also note that this only accounts for a few places, the majority of DRC is relatively safe.

注：刚果民主共和国经历了并且仍处于悲剧时期，北基伍和南基伍等地的武装分子使得它成为对游客来说很危险的国家，因为这些组织通常犯各种罪行。但是最重要的是，这些只占少数地方，大部分刚果民主共和国是相对安全的。
