China Sends Anti-epidemic Medical Expert Group to Ethiopia

After an invitation by the Ethiopian government, China's anti-epidemic medical expert group departed from Chengdu on the 16th (today) heading to Ethiopia to help carry out epidemic prevention and control work.

The expert team is led by Vice President of West China Hospital of Sichuan University Zeng Yong, who said that the epidemic has no borders. After arriving in Ethiopia, the medical team will take the time to understand the epidemic and exchange anti-epidemic experience with local counterparts to promote cooperation in the medical and health fields.

"One of the important goals of my trip is to prevent the spread of the epidemic and give show the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine." 

Many family members of experts from the medical team came to the airport to see off their relatives. 

The expert group will also bring the medical relief materials donated by the Chinese government.
