Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, announced that from 16:00 to 24:00 of June 12th, there were 4 newly diagnosed cases of Covid-19 in Beijing. Below is a detailed report:

6月13日上午11时，在北京市新冠肺炎疫情防控工作新闻发布会上，北京市疾病预防控制中心副主任庞星火就北京市新冠肺炎新发病例的有关情况进行通报。

庞星火介绍，6月12日16时-24时，北京市新增新冠肺炎确诊病例4例，主要情况如下：

Case 1 病例1

A 38 years old man who lives in Jiuya Garden, Jiuzhou, Changyang Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. He visited Xinfadi agricultural  products wholesale market by motorcycle on May 30, June 5 and 6. He started experiencing symptoms such as numbness, fever, and headache on June 9, and he recorded a maximum body temperature of 38.6°C. He drove to the Shijingshan Hospital on the 11th, and his nucleic acid test came back positive on 12th. His condition is classified as mild.

某男，38岁，北京市西城区人，公司职员，家住北京市房山区长阳镇九州溪雅苑。患者5月30日、6月5日和6日，曾骑摩托车至新发地农产品批发市场采购。6月9日出现身体发麻、发热、头痛等症状，最高体温38.6℃。11日自驾车到石景山医院发热门诊就诊，12日核酸检测为阳性，经专家会诊为确诊病例，临床分型为轻型。

Case 2 病例2

A 50 years old man from Baoding, Hebei Province. His job and living address are both in Xinfadi Frozen Seafood Market, he works as a driver and also as a supplier. He started experiencing symptoms such as fever and cough on June 6. He tested positive on June 12 at the Beijing Tiantan Hospital on the 12th. His condition was classified as severe.

某男，50岁，河北省保定人。工作单位和现住址均为新发地冰鲜海鲜市场，司机兼进货员。6月6日出现发热、咳嗽等症状，12日就诊北京天坛医院，核酸检测为阳性，经专家会诊为确诊病例，临床分型为重型。

Case 3 病例3

A 35 years old man from Baoding, Hebei Province. His job and the current address are listed as the salesperson in the fresh seafood market in Xinfadi. He experienced symptoms such as fever on June 10 and went to Beijing Tiantan Hospital on the 12th. Experts confirmed that the nucleic acid test came back positive, and his condition was classified as mild.

某男，35岁，河北省保定人。工作单位和现住址均为新发地冰鲜海鲜市场，售货员。6月10日出现发热等症状，12日就诊北京天坛医院，核酸检测为阳性，经专家会诊为确诊病例，临床分型为轻型。

Case 4 病例4

A 27 years old female from Dezhou, Shandong Province. She is self-employed in Xinfadi Wholesale Market, and lives in Xinfadi Operators Park. She began experiencing symptoms such as fever and cough on June 9, and she was sent to the Beijing Friendship Hospital on June 12. The nucleic acid test was confirmed by experts as positive. Her condition was classified as normal.

某女，27岁，山东省德州人。工作单位为新发地批发市场，个体经营者，现住新发地经营者乐园。6月9日出现发热、咳嗽等症状，12日就诊北京友谊医院，核酸检测为阳性，经专家会诊为确诊病例，临床分型为普通型。

The above-mentioned patients have been sent to the municipal designated hospital for treatment.

以上确诊病例已送至市级定点医院进行治疗。

Pang Xinghuo warned that recently Beijing has continuously reported a number of confirmed local cases of Covid-19. Except for the one case reported yesterday of a patient who had travelled out of Beijing, the remaining 6 cases had not been out of Beijing in the past 2 weeks. Furthermore, they had no close contact history with foreigners or people from Hubei.

庞星火提醒，近日北京市已连续发现多例本地新冠肺炎确诊病例，除昨日通报的1例病例刘某某有出京史外，其余6例病例近2周无出京史，无境外人员、湖北人员接触史。

Further investigations revealed that all the cases had a common connection with agricultural product wholesale market, Xinfadi. Some specimen collected from the environmental samples related to the patients also tested positive for the virus. The posibility of continued confirmed cases can not be ruled out and therefore the decision was reached, that it was necessary to close the Xinfadi market.

经流行病学调查，这些病例均有新发地农产品批发市场活动史，通过采集确诊病例相关的外环境标本，有核酸检测阳性报告。经初步判断这些病例可能接触了市场中污染的环境、或接触到了被感染的人员而传染发病，后续不排除出现续发病例的可能。为此，关闭新发地农贸批发市场完全必要。

On June 12, the municipal and district Centers for Disease Control and Prevention organized professionals to carry out investigation in the city's wholesale markets and supermarkets, collecting 5,424 samples of seafood, meat, etc. and other samples from the environment, they then tested them for the traces of novel coronavirus. 40 samples from Xinfadi market came back positive, while the rest were negative.

针对北京市近期疫情，6月12日，市、区疾病预防控制中心已组织专业人员，在全市开展了农贸批发市场、大型超市等排查，共采集海鲜、肉类等食品及外环境涂抹标本5424份，完成新冠病毒核酸检测，新发地市场发现40件环境阳性样本，其余农贸批发市场、大型超市均为阴性。

The city conducted an active screening of people in markets, and nucleic acid test was performed on 1940 people. Of the 517 samples collected in Xinfadi, 45 were positive. One other positive case was found in a farmers market in Haidian, the person is a close contact of a newly diagnosed patient in Xinfadi. The 46 people have no clinical symptoms and by now they have been put in strict management and observation.

在对从业人员主动筛检中，对1940名市场从业人员进行了核酸检测，在新发地采集的517件样品中，有45人咽拭子阳性，另在海淀一农贸市场中发现1例阳性，是1例新发地确诊病例的密切接触者。上述46人目前无临床症状，已纳入严密管理和观察中。

Beijing Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Press Conference Bulletin: Closed management measures were implemented for 11 communities around the Xinfadi Market, and 24-hour dedicated personnel were on duty. Classes in three primary schools and six kindergartens around the market that have returned to school have immediately been suspended.

Novel coronavirus traces were detected from the cutting board of imported salmon in Xinfadi market. According to news reports, major supermarkets such as Wumart and Carrefour in Beijing, have removed salmon overnight. The relevant person in charge of one of the supermarkets said that the salmon sold in the store was imported from abroad. From 0:00 to 24:00 on June 12, there were no new imported cases and no newly confirmed local cases in Liaoning Province. But two new imported cases of asymptomatic infection were added, both of whom were close contact with confirmed cases reported on the 12th in Beijing.

6月12日0时至24时，辽宁省无新增境外输入病例，无新增本土确诊病例。新增无症状感染者2例（域外输入），均为北京市12日报告的确诊病例密切接触者。
