According to WHO, more than 400 vaccines and treatments are under study as researchers rush to produce effective medicines for COVID-19.
But no vaccine has been approved for commercial production so far, still there have been numerous reports from people saying some online businessmen in Wechat are offering COVID-19 vaccine for 498 RMB.
"Contact me if you need Covid-19 vaccine, we can export too, it will be officially launched on September 2"

Another ad said, "vaccine is available for 498 RMB per shot, need to take 3 shots. People who are going abroad and medical workers will be given priority."
Through the barcode, the reporter found that the vaccines in question are produced by Beijing Kexing Zhongwei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. Both companies said their vaccines are not yet available for public and even if they were, they would not be sold through individuals on Wechat moments and groups.
Wuhan Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd.also posted on their official website a notice highlighting that the vaccine is not yet available for public.
Article 35 of Chapter 4 of the "People's Republic of China Vaccine Management Law" that came into effect on December 1, 2019 stipulates that units and individuals other than disease prevention and control institutions shall not supply vaccines to inoculation units, and inoculation units shall not receive the vaccine from them.
Well, at least I had hope and a moment of jumping with joy, eventhough it was just for a second!
