Woman's IQ fell to that of a 1-year-old due to plastic Surgery

According to a notice issued by Nanshan District Health Commision on Weibo, a trending topic "Shenzhen Woman's Botched Plastic Surgery" caught netizen's attention. The commision said it investigated the case and the unit involved in May last year.
The victim's family and the hospital have negotiated compensation terms many times without reaching an agreement. The commision will continue to help with negotiation, but if the victim's family choose to use the hand of the law instead, the commision will provide all the help and support they need.
Well, so what happened?
Xiao Li (pseudonym) is an only child in her family and at 31 years old, she had a stable job in an institution. To many, she is sweet, beautiful, tall, have a happy, successful family and a stable job, all of which they would desire but just dream to have. But while people think she has it made in the shade, she was not satisfied with her own appearance.
In May 2020, she decided to enhance her already beautiful face with comestic surgery without consulting her own parents. She aimed at doing some eyelid repair, nose job and other plastic surgeries so she went to a local beauty and plastic surgery hospital in Songpingshan which is located in Nanshan, Shenzhen.
As the surgeons administered an anesthesia to perform eyelid repair operation, her heart suddenly stopped--she suffered a cardiac arrest. The surgeons perfomed an emergency rescue at the site and then sent her to a local public hospital for emergency treatment.
On the afternoon of that day, Xiao Li's father received a phone call from the hospital informing him that his daughter was under emergency rescue operation and might lose her life so he should be prepared. The father was so scared that he fainted and woke up more than half an hour later.

After 16 days of treatment in the ICU, Xiao Li was finally transferred to the general ward. However, her condition was serious, she would get scared suddenly and start screaming and even when she sees her relatives, friends, and parents, she can no longer recognize them.
Furthermore, she can not feed herself and she urinates and poops everywhere like a child.
Sometimes her situation improves and she can recognize some people, but after sometime she can't recognize them at all. It is reported that she often hallucinate and feel that there are snakes and insects on her body.
After more than 10 months of treatment, her condition is still not much improved. Her intelligence level is equivalent to that of a 1-year-old baby. Her parents have taught her more than a hundred times and now she has managed to recognize them and has remembered her own name.
The hospital has also invited many well-known experts to consult her, they all came to one sad conclusion: She may need special care for the rest of her life.
Xiao Li's parents said that they would teach their daughter to dress and eat as they did 30 years ago, as well as accompany her to grow up again.
"Baby, you have to be strong and brave. We will stay by your side. We will continue to help you grow up from the state of a baby and slowly recover your self-dependency. We are willing to accompany you all your life!"
This is what a father over 50 years old said to his 31 year old daughter. Every sentence is touching and tearful.
Not the first time to happen
Reporters learned that this is not the first time this plastic surgery hospital had such an incident. According to China's judicial documents website, there were three active cases involving this plastic surgery hospital, one of which involved a medical malpractice dispute.
In July 2020, Ms. Huang spent 70,000 yuan on liposuction and other cosmetic surgeries in the institution. However, after taking an anesthesia, she woke up in the ICU.
The hospital's diagnosis was also respiratory and cardiac arrest. After treatment, Ms. Huang's heart and lung were damaged to varying degrees. Ms. Huang believed that there was a problem with the anesthesia.
