Federal Minister of Education Pakistan meets Chinese Ambassador, He Tweeted that Federal Ministry of Education received Chinese Ambassador H.E NONG RONG (with a delegation) on 15th of September.
Both sides also discussed the issue of Pakistani Students studying in China and agreed to keep communication and coordination on this.
During the delegation meeting and one on one meeting they discussed many issues relating to education cooperation and including issues of Pakistani students in Chinese Universities. Where, the nowadays biggest issue is return of Pakistani students to China.
The Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood had raised this issue of students a few days ago on tweeter publically and in the last ministry meeting officially.
With a careful estimation, there are more than 7,000 students waiting for their return to Chinese universities since 18th months. The majority of students are pursuing PhDs and Master degrees, even MBBS students are stranded.
It has been a year, those students who are on a full scholarships awarded by Chinese Government Scholarship Council or Universities Scholarships & others haven’t received their monthly stipends.
Federal Minister of Pakistan and Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad’s meeting brought in a new hope for all the international students. Finally the issue is being addressed at the higher official level.
Students are optimistic that political and diplomatic leadership would resolve the issue very soon and they can return to their beloved Chinese Varsities.
