3 Graduate Students Expelled From University For Prostitution

Three graduate students, one PhD and two master's degree candidates, were expelled from Fudan University and their names published on the notice board after they were found to be engaging in prostitution outside the school.
After the image above was published online, people were left with many questions about the way the school handled the cases. A staff from the school told reporters that the decision was approved by the school but they didn't post the notice online, it was only supposed to be a public announcement inside the school serving as a warning to other students.
The notices read that:
Chen XX, a 2019 doctoral student of Fudan University, was detained for three days at the Huangpu branch of Shanghai PSB after he was caught engaging in prostitution outside the school.
Li XX, a 2019 master's student, was detained for ten days by the Minhang branch of Shanghai PSB after he was arrested by the police while engaging in prostitution outside the school.
Ge XX, a 2020 master's student, was caught engaging in prostitution outside the school on January 13, 2021, he was arrested and detained for 10 days and fined 5,000 yuan by Jiading Branch of Shanghai PSB.
In accordance with Article 40 of the regulations on student disciplinary measures of Fudan University, the school decided to expel the above three students from school after deliberation at the president's office meeting on September 6, 2021.
From the official website of Fudan University, we found the Article 40 of the regulations on disciplinary measures for students of Fudan University, and it clearly stipulates that those who engage in prostitution or organize, force, lure, shelter or introduce others to prostitution shall be expelled from school.

The school did not deliver the expulsion decision in a manner described by the country's Regulations on the Administration of Students in Colleges and Universities. He added that the decision could not be served in the form of public publicity.
Article 55 of the Regulations on the Administration of Students in Colleges and Universities issued by the Ministry of education stipulates that the disposal, punishment decision and punishment notices shall be delivered directly to the students themselves.
Those who have already left school, the notices will be delivered by mail; But if the receiver can not be reached, then the school can use its website, news media, etc. to deliver the announcement.
"This provision clearly stipulates the delivery method. If the school fails to deliver the corresponding steps in turn, the practice of publicly posting the announcement to the public violates the students' right to privacy."

When contacted by reporters, a school staff said the school did not put the announcement on the internet, adding that it was posted inside the school at a notice board to serve as a warning to other students.
