Netizens Puzzled by a Person Who Donated RMB 13.63M Anonymously

An anonymous individual has been donating huge amounts of cash to Ningbo Charity Federation for more than 23 years. According to Ningbo Charity Federation, every donation is signed with "顺其自然" which in Pinyin reads "shùn qí zì ran" and it means "let nature take its course."
In recent years s/he has used combinations of two letters from "顺其自然" such as "顺其" or "其然" to donate to charity.
What baffles staff at the Charity and netizens is the length to which this person has gone to make sure that s/he remains anonymous. Each time they will receive donations signed with such variations of anonymous names and the amounts range from two digits to 4 digits, the highest amount is 9,999 yuan.
For instance, on the morning of November 22, Ningbo Charity Federation received a big envelope containing 107 remittance receipts. The sender's name on the envelope was "顺其" while sender's address was No.1 Zhongshan Road, Ningbo.
Of the 107 receipts, 105 of them were donations of 9,999 yuan, the other two were 55 yuan and 50 yuan respectively. That is a total of 1.05 million yuan in donation.
All donations were remitted from two addresses of Haishu Gulou sub branch and Haishu postal building business office of China Postal Savings Bank Co., Ltd. on November 19.
It turns out that if the amount of a single remittance exceeds 10,000 yuan, the sender must use their real name, this is why for 23 years, Shunqi has capped a single remittance to 9,999 yuan.
But who goes to the length of making 107 remittance in a single day just to stay anonymous?
According to the person in charge of Ningbo Charity Federation, the first appearance of "Shunqi Ziran" was in 1999. The charity received a donation of 50,000 yuan that year and the remittance slip read "Shunqi Ziran".
Since then, they kept receiving anonymous donations signed by that name in late November or early December of every year. The sender used "Shunqi Ziran" during the first 4 years, then later used combinations of two words from the four characters, such as "Shunqi" or "Qiran" to sign the remittance slips.
The remitter's address is always written as "No.1 Zhongshan Road, Ningbo." Although geographically such a place exists, but there is no individual or building that is registered to that address.
"S/he leaves notes on receipts saying the money must be used in student aid and education, each use must be announced publicly through the media." A staff at Ningbo Charity Federation told our BAFLA reporter.
Shunqi also makes targeted donations to major disasters and individuals affected with serious disease cases. According to official documentation, the total amount s/he donated so far has reached 13.63 million yuan.
News of "Shunqi" donations has also inspired others to follow their suit, as since 1999, Ningbo Charity Federation has received more than 5,000 anonymous donations, with the total amount exceeding 50 million yuan.
In 2015, the Ministry of Civil Affairs awarded "Shunqi Ziran" the "9th China Charity Award."
And of the 100 outstanding figures featured in the permanent exhibition called "Outstanding Zhejiang People" by Zhejiang Provincial Archives, "Shunqi Ziran" is the only anonymous figure featured.
