39 South Africans win the "China Ambassador Award."

On Tuesday, Chen Xiaodong, Chinese ambassador to South Africa, attended the online award ceremony for the "China Ambassador Award."
Chen gave warm congratulations to the 39 outstanding South African teachers and students who won the "China Ambassador Award."
The "China Ambassador Award" was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in South Africa and the Ministry of basic education of South Africa.
Nearly 100 people including senior officials of the Ministry of basic education of South Africa, award-winning teachers and student representatives of South Africa attended the award ceremony.
Chen said that with the joint efforts of China and South Africa, basic education cooperation has made positive progress in teacher training, personnel exchanges, Chinese education, cooperative school running and many other aspects. The embassy is willing to build more platforms for the development of education and human resources development cooperation between the two sides.
Matsie Angelina Motshekga, minister of basic education of South Africa, said that in recent years, South Africa-China education cooperation has been deepened and implemented, which has not only promoted the progress of education in South Africa, but also led to the development of economic and social fields.
The "China Ambassador Award" is another important measure for China to support basic education and talent training in basic disciplines in South Africa.
Tashev, an award-winning teacher, and Nkosi, a student representative, also spoke respectively to thank China for its long-term support in education.
They said that this award is in recognition of outstanding teachers and students in South Africa, which is of great help to poor students and will encourage more South Africans to change their lives by studying hard.
