A fight broke out between a couple after the girl found out that his boyfriend did not save her mobile phone number as "Wife".
Ms. Wang, the girlfriend, moved in with Zheng in June 2021, then in July 18 that year she was on the second floor of their house when she found Zheng's phone and decided to check on it.
She got angry because Zheng did not save her mobile phone contact as "Wife" and took stairs to go to the first floor.
At the same time, Zheng was going upstairs and prevented her from going downstairs, he held her hands while she was pulling away. He let go and she fell down the stairs to the first floor.
Zheng called the emergency rescue hotline 120 and Wang was sent to a hospital, unfortunately, she died on July 22, 2021.
On September 10, 2021, the Dongzhi County Public Security Judicial Expertise Center ruled that Wang died of severe craniocerebral injury caused by a blunt force trauma.
Dongzhi County People's Procuratorate held that Zheng's negligence caused his girlfriend's death, and his behavior violated Article 233 of the criminal law of the People's Republic of China.
The defendant, Zheng, pleaded guilty and accepted punishment, and will be dealt with leniency in accordance with Article 15 of the criminal procedure law of the People's Republic of China.
