Police in Shanghai reported that they imposed an administrative punishment to a man who wore a wig and women's clothes to enter a women's bathhouse, infringing personal privacy.

Ms. Wang and her sister went to a bathing house in Jianbang area to take a bath, but when they were about to leave, she noticed that there was a person who exhibited abnomal behaviour.

The person neither changed clothes nor took a shower and was seemingly petrified. In addition to keeping to "herself", "she" also deliberately kept distance from other customers.

Wang decided to inform the unusual behaviour of this customer to the bathhouse staff but she was told that there was nothing wrong with the suspect's behaviour.

However, she kept getting the feeling that there is something suspicious with the person, and so as this "woman" left the bathhouse, she followed "her" and asked "her" to remove her face mask so she can confirm that "she" is truly a "she".

"She" declined and tried to flee the scene, but Wang subdued "her" and seeing that "she" couldn't escape, "she" took off the face mask and admitted that "she" is actually a man. Wang called the police immediately.

Mais Pourquoi?

In the presence of the law enforcement officers, the man, who was confirmed as Li, said that he is an anchor for a short video platform and that day he lost a competition, known as"PK" in the livestreaming platfrom, and had to accept a punishment.

The punishement was sneaking into women's bathhouse while live-broadcasting the whole process to the viewers.

He confessed that he knew that his actions were against the law and he closed down the live broadcasting as soon as he entered the bathhouse as well as tried to avoid filming female customers.

He also added that he kept away from customers in the bathhouse and quickly left the scene.

He has been imposed an administrative fine by the PSB on suspicion of violating personal privacy. Police added that if Li didn't stop broadcasting as soon as he entered the establishment and did not leave the premise promptly, he would have faced more severe punishment and even investigated for criminal responsibility.
