艺术不是艺术家的说辞，而是一呼一吸间的生活本身。
操老师的导览从留白开始。想要一拥而入的同学们被拦在了TC101空间门口的方寸之地，不见一幅画作，却因而更觉意境之宽。
操老师带领大家游历在水墨山水之中，从不同的视角体验艺术背后的烟火人间。有风华正茂的多娇江山；有“小舟从此逝，江海寄余生”的一蓑烟雨；也有一觞一咏，亦足以畅叙的幽情。从“越不聪明越快活”到“躺平”，从安徽古镇到香榭丽街道，操老师笔下的江南定格了记忆、穿越了时间。
水墨千千色，百种滋味，万般人生。

Art is not artists’ diplomacy, but life itself.
Mr. Cao’s guided tour started with a blank space. Students rushing in were blocked by the inch of space at the entrance of TC101 SPACE. Not a single painting, but came more poetic moods.
Mr. Cao guided students through the ink paintings and experience colors of lives from various artistic perspectives: mountain in its prime, rain in the mists, and poems in the drinks. Cao’s Jiangnan captures memories and transcends the time, traveling from ancient towns in Anhui to Champs Elysees and from “The Less Clever, the Happier” to “Laid-back”.
Stroke in ink blooms a life of all tastes.

“书画魔方”
The Magic of Brush and Ink

第一场中国书画工作坊，操应旺老师指导同学们学习简单的毛笔大字书写。
操老师妙语连珠，亲笔示范，同学们临摹欣赏，学习交流。一横一竖、一撇一捺，看似简单的笔划中，却蕴藏着丰富的变化，在操老师生动的讲解和教导下，书法中的艺术光华跃然纸上。
从零到一，从无到有，在操老师的引导下，每一位同学都创作出了自己的书法作品。操老师还为每一位同学的作品都提上字，并现场进行扫描，大家都感到非常的惊喜与感动。

At the first workshop, Mr. Cao Yingwang taught students simple calligraphy in large characters
With Mr. Cao’s witty words and handwriting demonstration, students studied, communicated and appreciated with each other. Every seemingly ordinary stroke contains rich changes. The beauty of calligraphy shone on the papers under Mr. Cao’s vivid explanation.
Instructed by Mr. Cao, every student successfully created their own calligraphy works from scratch. He even inscribed on their works and scanned them on the spot, which surprised and moved everyone.

“一纸山河”

在第二场工作坊中，操应旺老师在通过PPT展示的方式带领大家游览了中国文字书画史的长河。远自文字诞生起，楷草隶篆行，说至唐宋元明清。
《洛神赋图》荣曜秋菊，华茂春松，悼永绝而哀异乡；富春山起伏不平，人随风过。韩熙载夜宴，曾国藩家书，郭子仪高寿善终。在操老师的讲解下，历史的画卷徐徐展开，名家文人背后的故事令同学们沉醉与向往。
工作坊的后半段，同学们在操老师的指导示范下提笔画下了属于自己的墨竹。一点一画间，大家的作品风格多样，个性鲜明。笔墨的意趣里，满是生机与活力。正如黄庭坚那首《春阴》描绘的一样，“竹笋才生黄犊角，蕨芽初长小儿拳”。

At the second workshop, Mr. Cao Yingwang showed students the long history of Chinese calligraphy and painting using the PowerPoint. From the birth of characters, various types of Chinese writing, to the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The history slowly unfolded under Mr. Cao’s explanation: the beauty and admiration in the "Nymph of the Luo River", past history in the undulating Fuchun Mountain, Han Xizai’s night banquet, Zeng Guofan’s letter home, and Guo Ziyi’ long well-ending life. All this engaged and attracted the students.
Later, students drew their own bamboos in ink guided by Mr. Cao. From points to lines flowed everyone’s diverse styles and distinct personalities; from the ink to brush jumped their vigor and vitality. Just as Huang Tingjian’s Spring Shade describes, “bamboo shoots as calf horns, fern sprouts like kid fists”.

“创作工作坊——让灵感跃然纸上”
Creation Workshop – Spark Your Inspiration

第三场工作坊给了大家更加大胆尝试的机会，操老师将前两场工作坊的内容浓缩成精华，先后指导同学们学习写书法与画国画。
从线条、节奏到构图、点画，大家认真聆听，仔细临摹，同时自由发挥。不论是端正典雅的书法字，还是充满意境与留白的竹叶图，都令大家深切感受到中国传统书画的魅力。
操老师与同学们分享道，“艺术是一生的旅程”。工作坊只是个开端，为同学们打开了一扇中国传统艺术的大门。希望大家能够在漫漫道路上，不断学习与成长。不论未来从事什么样的职业，都能将艺术作为一生的爱好与追求。

The third workshop provided an opportunity for students to experiment with no fear. Mr. Cao extracted the essence from the first two workshops and gave the students instructions on calligraphy and Chinese painting.
From line, rhythm, composition to dot drawing, students listened attentively, imitated carefully and created freely. They deeply felt the charm of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy from both the elegant calligraphy and the bamboo painting of bamboo full of aesthetic feelings and blank space.
Mr. Cao shared with the students that "art is a life-long journey". The workshop was just the beginning, opening students’ eyes to traditional Chinese arts. Hope all of them can keep learning and growing along the path regardless of their future careers. Keep arts as a lifetime hobby and pursuit.

● 周梦祥 - 2021级经管学院 逸夫书院
进了大学，我才真正感受到全人教育的魅力。在大学生活的第一个月里，学校的各种社团以及各个部门所举办的各种活动真的是丰富多彩，使我眼花缭乱，应接不暇。其中我最喜欢的是大学艺术中心所举办的驻校艺术家活动。这次活动请到了著名的书画艺术家操应旺老师。在他的带领下，我们学会了怎样欣赏书画作品和画梅兰竹菊。记得在“一纸山河”工作坊中，他教了我们竹子的3种简单画法。起初同学们都很拘谨，怕画不好，但操老师一直鼓励我们率意作画，敢于尝试。他还说了一句话：“不要怕画不好，敢于下笔就很了不起。”是啊，这个世界上有很多新事物，我们不必样样精通，只要敢于尝试，就是很了不起的。总之，在这次驻校艺术家活动中，我不仅学会了很多关于艺术的知识，更学到了敢于尝试新事物的勇气。期待大学艺术中心能给我们带来更多又内涵也有惊喜的活动！

在操老师的工作坊中，我第一次拿起了毛笔，学会了书写毛笔字。刚开始时，自己写的毛笔字歪歪扭扭，难以直视。但一小时过后，在操老师的指导下，我写下了威武刚正的自己的姓氏，真的感觉收获颇丰。和蔼慈善的操老师还给我们题了字，真的十分喜欢这次的活动！

参加操老师的书画工作坊，我不仅学习到操老师从个人几十年书画经历中总结的千年书画史条线，还在实际操作中亲身感受到纸笔的触感和掌控纸笔的不易。操老师亲自修改我们的"创作"，他应用自如的巧思和不俗的审美功力令人叹服。

听了操老师的指导，我感触颇深。一方面，我找到了关于自我艺术发展的途径。艺术来源与生活，来源于苦难。即使不是艺术专业，也可以积极地投入艺术创作，提升自我的审美能力。
另一方面，我了解到了基础的书画知识。诗、书、画同源，将三者融汇而不是隔离开，才能更好地体会到传统书画的乐趣。非常期待能再次参加操老师的课堂。

驻校艺术家项目
为营造大学艺术氛围，培养同学审美情操，从2016年开始，大学推出驻校艺术家项目，定期从全球各地及各艺术领域遴选邀请国际化水准的专业艺术家进驻校园，从事创作并与同学交流。驻校艺术家创作周期分为两种：短期5-10天，长期1-2个月。驻校期间，艺术家会与同学们共同创作，或以讲座、工作坊的形式指导学生创作与审美。艺术家的创造也会结合校园周边资源，为校园的发展提供创新的尝试。

In 2016, the University initiated the Artist-in-Residence Programme to create an artistic atmosphere on campus and to elevate student's aesthetic taste. We regularly invite top artists from various fields to reside on campus, create artworks and hold workshops with students. The programme may last 5-10 days or 1-2 months. Artists will work with or guide students to create or appreciate artworks through workshops or lectures. Artists will also take into account resources available off campus to contribute towards our development.
