全球传播与管理本科项目（GCM）遵循浙江大学国际化培养理念，致力于培养通晓中国语言文化与国情，谙熟跨文化沟通与传播，擅长金融和商务分析和国际企业管理，具有中国经验和全球竞争力的复合型创新创业人才和商业领导者。学生通过GCM学习，既有熟练的双语（汉语与英语）交流沟通与跨文化交际能力，又有系统的中国学知识和方法；既掌握扎实的传播学与管理学基础理论，又具备跨文化和全球商务知识和实践经营技能。

Adhering to the long-standing international teaching philosophy of Zhejiang University, the GCM program is committed to training entrepreneurs and future business leaders who combine interdisciplinary knowledge, expertise in financial and business analysis, and a deep understanding of China's business environment to excel in China and compete globally. Students will graduate with bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English, cross-cultural communication skills and a solid foundation of knowledge about China.

1. GCM项目2021年申请的截止日期是什么时候？

Q: When is the deadline for application?

A: 31st May, 2021

2. GCM项目的学费是多少？

Q: What’s the tuition fee of GCM?

A: 65,000RMB/Academic Year

3. 是否需要提交纸质版材料？

Q: Should applicants mail the hard copies?

A: Due to the pandemic, please do NOT deliver the hard copies of the application materials. Hard copies of the application materials will NOT be reviewed and further processed.

4. 申请人是否需要考HSK?

Q: Should applicants provide HSK certificate?

A: The HSK certificate isn’t a prerequisite for applicants since GCM is an English-taught program. Applicants with basic Chinese language skills are recommended to apply for GCM.

5. 如何申请项目？

Q: How to apply for GCM?

A: Applicants must log in to the International Student Application & Admission System of Zhejiang University (http://isinfosys.zju.edu.cn/recruit/login.shtml), clearly fill in and completely upload materials as required.

6. 资料审核流程是什么？申请人需要多长时间才能知道录取结果?

Q: How does the program team process the application documents? How long will applicants know the results?

A: Generally, after the applicant pays the application fee, his/her documents will be processed and evaluated by GCM program team. Interview invitation will be sent to the applicant via email if he/she passes the evaluation part. The interview will be online.

Normally, the team would inform the applicant his/her interview result within 2 weeks after the interview.

7. 项目课程包括哪些模块？

Q: What are course modules of GCM?

A: There are four modules in total:

Chinese Language and China Studies: Elementary Chinese, Advanced Chinese Reading and Writing, History of Chinese Civilization, Chinese Literacy and Culture, etc.

Global Communication and Intercultural Competence: Intercultural Communication, Communication Studies, Experience of Chinese Culture, Integrated Marketing Communications, etc.

Finance, Business and Management: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematics and Statistics, Management, Commercial Law, etc.

Business Practice and Internship: various field trips and a 3 to 6-month internship

8. 项目是否设有奖学金？

Q: Does the program provide scholarships for applicants?

A: All new students are eligible to apply for a ZIBS Entrance Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded based on applicants’ transcripts in senior high school, interview performance and potential contributions.

9. 申请时是否必须提交完整高中成绩单？

Q: Should applicants submit full transcripts of senior high school?

A: Since some applicants haven’t got the full transcripts when they apply for GCM program, applicants can provide the transcript they have currently. However, applicants must submit full transcripts before registration.

GCM is a program that combined two domains—communication and economic studies. Pupils are nurturing in a “cozy” environment, where they can access lavish and insightful theories that strongly correlate with fact and reality and they also have on-the-spot investigation that allows pupils to have close eyes on history and industries. I am glad that I joined Global Communication and Management program, since it not only expands my horizon but also offers opportunity to specialize in communication and economy. Moreover, Chinese history (contemporary and past) course construct a steady cognition of Chinese society and global governance course offers in-depth knowledge of judicial system and policy brief. All courses encourage students to do extra research and study autonomously, cultivating pupil’s independence and holistic view.
