In 2008 I stood on my neighbours roof and watched my house wash away in torrential rain. A house that I had lived in for the last 50 years. A house that my children and my children’s children grew up in. A house filled with memories. I stood there crying and I was helpless, there was nothing I could do.
Now I'm 81 years old and I live in a modern house not too far away from my family. Everyday I wake up to go tend the land where I grow chillis and peanuts. I keep three chickens and when they lay eggs and when my chillis and peanuts are ready I love to share them with my family.

2008年，我站在邻居家的屋顶上，看着我的房子在倾盆大雨中被冲走。这是一所我居住了50年的房子；一个我孩子、我孩子的孩子长大的地方；一个充满了回忆的家。我只能站在那里哭，我无能为力，什么也做不了。
今年我81岁了，住在离家人不远的新房子里。每天醒来，我会去地里，照料我种的辣椒和花生。我养了三只鸡，它们下蛋的时候，辣椒和花生熟了的时候，我都会拿去给家人们吃。
