I work at a tourist centre making cloth and they pay me a hundred yuan each month. In my old age, my eyes are not as good as they were so I need to make sure I bring my glasses. I started to learn when I was about 15 and this year I am 77. My mum taught me and I tried to teach my kids but they didn’t learn well. It’s much easier than being a famer, being a farmer isn’t easy. There was no choice because if we didn’t grow the food we’d have nothing to eat. Even if I didn’t work here I would still wear these clothes and I also have a flat hat made of bamboo I don’t wear it all the time. I also used to have black teeth but the colour has since faded.

我在游客中心上班，主要就是织布，他们一个月给我100块钱。我现在年纪大了，眼睛没有以前好使，所以每天都要随身带着我的老花镜。我大概15岁左右开始学织布，我今年77岁了。我妈妈教我织布的手艺，我以前试着也教我孩子们，但是她们学的不好。织布比种地简单很多，种地不轻松。但是我们没有选择，如果不种地，我们就没有粮食吃。就算我不在这工作，我还是会穿这身衣服，但不是一直穿。我还有一个用竹子制作的帽子但不是经常戴。我的牙齿以前也是黑色的，但是现在颜色褪了。
