• 非中国籍公民，身体健康，持有效外国护照

• 年龄18周岁以上，须高中毕业或以上学历

• 申请理工类专业，高中数学及物理成绩须合格

• 申请经济管理类专业，高中数学成绩须合格

• Non-Chinese citizen, and in good health，valid passport

• Above 18 years old, high school graduated or above

• For Science or Engineering programs, applicants are qualified in mathematics and physics in high school

• For Economics or Management programs, applicants are qualified in mathematics in high school

注意：根据中国教育部规定，中国大陆（内地）、香港、澳门和台湾居民在移民外国后作为外国来华留学生申请者必须持有有效的外国护照或国籍证明4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至2021年4月30日前）之内在国外实际居住2年以上的记录（1年中实际在国外居住满9个月可以按1年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。

Note: According to the regulations released by Ministry of Education, China, if parent(s) was  (were) a Chinese citizen settlingin a foreign country at the time applicants were born, applicants must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2017. In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2017 and April 30, 2021. Emigrants from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April 30, 2017.  In addition, the applicant must have lived outside China for at least 2 years during the period between April 30, 2017 and April 30, 2021.

语言要求 Language ability

申请中文授课专业，近两年内的汉语水平考试（HSK）成绩应达到以下标准：

学科专业性质	新HSK 成绩要求
汉语言及汉语国际教育本科	新HSK4级180分以上
艺术、理工、经管类专业	新HSK5级180分以上
文科类专业	新HSK5级210分以上

以下情况可免HSK：

1.汉语为母语或常用语

2.用汉语完整学习过学历项目，并获得证书

Language ability:

HSK 4 above 180for Chinese Language (BA), and Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (BA);

HSK 5above 180 forScience or Engineering;Economics or Management&Art

HSK 5 above 210 for Humanities.

HSK Exemptions：

The following types of applicants are exempt from taking the HSK:

Native speaker of Chinese;

The previous degree is fully taught in Chinese and has gained certificate

申请英语授课专业，英语水平须满足以下任一条：

1.英文为母语或官方语言

2.雅思（A）成绩6.5分以上(含)或接受托福个人最佳成绩（TOEFL MyBestTM Score)或其他国际认可的英语水平考试达到相当分数，并提交成绩证明  

3. 在以英语为母语的国家获得过学历证书

English-taught programs:

1.Native speakers of English

2.IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL IBT 90 or above received within the recent two years（TOEFL MyBestTMScores accepted）

3.The previous degree is fully taught in English

学业要求 Academic Requirement

学业水平必须符合下列条件：

1.须具有高中毕业学历，成绩绩点3.0（含）以上（GPA四分制）；   

2.申请理工类专业，高中数学及物理成绩合格；

3.申请经管类专业，高中数学成绩合格

4.申请艺术类专业，须提供作品集；

Application Materials

以下材料应准备完整.清晰的电子文件（PDF或JPG等格式）。

✔   护照复印件;

✔   近六个月内的护照尺寸证件照（大小在100K以内）;

✔   上传小视频 (内容:自我介绍及来华学习计划，格式: avi, mov,mp4三种均可，语言：根据申请专业的授课语言，大小在50M以内）;

✔   高中毕业证书复印件（应届毕业生可先提供预毕业证明）; 

✔   高中阶段全部课程成绩单复印件;

✔   语言水平证书复印件或成绩网页截屏（注册时须提供证书原件备查）;

✔   来华学习和研究计划。根据申请专业的授课语言，选择用中文或英文书写；

✔   经济担保证明（可在http://apply.shu.edu.cn）;

✔   不满18周岁需提供监护人保证书（可在http://apply.shu.edu.cn）;

✔   无犯罪记录证明；

✔   申请美术专业需提供至少两幅作品；音乐专业提供专业相关音、视频。

注意： 

1.非中文或英文的文件，需附经公证的或发证单位提供的汉语/英语翻译件；

2.以上材料申请时仅需要上传扫描件，开学报到时需提供原件备查。

3. 如无法在本国获得无犯罪记录证明，可与学校签署《无犯罪记录承诺书》(http://apply.shu.edu.cn)

Application Materials（PDF or JPG form, etc）

A clear copy of your valid passport with your name, photo, birth date, place of birth, date of issue, date of expiry;

Visa page is required for applicants who are not in their home country.

✔   ID photo

Recent bareheaded (within six months), full-face, blue-color background, one-inch certificate photo (390*570), instead of landscape photos or photos of daily life; in JPG format, less than 100K.

✔   Selfie video

A video including self-introduction and study plan in China shot by the applicants. (within 50M, avi, mov, mp4 all accepted) The language of the video is up to the medium of instruction in the selected major (English or Chinese).

✔   Highest Degree Certificate and Official Transcripts

The official certificate and transcripts are those that bear the facsimile signature of the registrar and seal of the issuing institution. If the originals are not in Chinese or English, they must be translated and notarized;

*For applicants who haven’t graduated, pending graduation certificate and transcripts available till the application date are also acceptable. Official graduation certificate and transcripts of all grades shall be submitted timely after being received.

✔   Language Proficiency Certificate

If the score sheet is not available at the time of application, applicants may upload a screen shot of your scores. But the original score sheet is required when registration.

✔   Study Plan or Research Proposal in China  

Written in English or Chinese (according to the teaching language of the program), including research achievements so far (e.g. title and abstracts of graduation thesis or published paper), reasons of choosing SHU, study and research plan, future career plan, etc.

✔   Statement of Financial Support（download here http://apply.shu.edu.cn）

✔   Guarantee Statement（under 18 years old）

✔   Certificate of No Criminal Record

✔Others（Refer to Departmental standards）

Applicants for art majors should provide at least two examples of artworks; music majors’ applicants should provide audios and videos related to the major. 

Please Note:

1. Documents not in Chinese or English should be accompanied with translations from notaries or issuing departments.

2. During application, only need to upload the scanned documents, and the original documents should be provided for reference when registration.

3.For any applicants who cannot get the Certificate of No Criminal Record at home country, please sign the No criminal record Commitment with Shanghai University (You can download at http://apply.shu.edu.cn).

1. 安全与背景审查

Shanghai University Security and Background Check (SBC) for International Students

上海大学国际学生安全与背景审查旨在通过询问申请人个人生活、学习背景及身体健康状况，了解申请人是否适合进入大学学习。请如实作答，学校将备案审查结果。

The purpose of SBC is to check whether the applicant’s personal condition is appropriate to enter the University. It includesquestions about the applicant's personal life, education background and physical health. Please answer according to authentic situation and the results will be recorded by university.

2. 上海大学国际学生入学资格测试

University Qualification Assessment (UQA) for International Students 

上海大学国际学生安全与背景审查旨在通过询问申请人个人生活、学习背景及身体健康状况，了解申请人是否适合进入大学学习。请如实作答，学校将备案审查结果。

The purpose of this assessment is to evaluate whether international students are ready to enter Shanghai University for degree programs and it is only compulsory for individual international applicants of degree programs.

3. 电话面试

Telephone interview

完成入学资格测试和安全背景审查之后，由招生工作人员组织进行电话面试。面试语言根据申请专业的授课语言而定，时间在10-15分钟

After SBC and UQA, the recruitment staff will organize a telephone interview. The interview language is up to course teaching language and time length is 10-15 minutes.

4 . 预付学费

Tuition Deposit Payment

上海大学对符合录取条件，并已发送电子录取通知书的学历项目申请人预收学费人民币5000元。申请人在收到电子录取通知书及支付协议后20个工作日内完成学费预付。如超过20个工作日未预付学费，视为放弃。预付学费后获得奖学金资助者，入学后将返还。

All applicants of degree programs must pay the tuition deposit RMB 5000 after receiving the E-admission notice within 20 working days. If the payment is not completed after 20 days, it would be regarded as giving up.Those who obtain scholarship after deposit payment can get refund after registration.
