纪录视频《工作坊：中国打工者的婚恋和家庭》和剧情片《直播梦蛇》是新工人影像小组的最新作品。《直播梦蛇》讲述了布展工人“猛虎”一段特殊的单身生活，一位女艺术家突如其来的作品“介入”、干扰了他压抑乏味的生活。有些意外的是，“猛虎”开始饶有兴趣地写起了属于自己的童话……
在这部影片的拍摄之前，小组成员和北京的新工人文学小组成员有过关于剧情构思的交流，无意间发现男性工友几乎很少在写作中塑造女性的形象，即使有也非常单薄。相反，女性工友提及男性家庭成员的频次非常高，笔下的形象也颇为饱满。
新工人影像小组的成员意识到，这个反差背后有很多值得交流的内容，于是组织了一次工作坊，让文学小组里的男女作者进行一次生动的相互交流。《工作坊：中国打工者的婚恋和家庭》便是那次活动的视频影像。
就这样，新工人影像小组在2020年同时产出了《工作坊》和《直播梦蛇》两部影像作品。
新工人影像小组是成立于2016年的创作集体。它没有遵循通常电影、纪录片、录像艺术、手机视频的工作流程和方法来进行创作，而是先捕捉拍摄对象在其真实处境中所流露出的生动细节，再设法用影像的手段记录，重现和予以突显——特别是那些看起来不符合“底层”刻板印象所预设的人物特征——然后再编辑素材，进行影像结构的组织。

The feature film The Bachelor Self-cam in Paradise, as well as the document video Love, Marriage And Family of Chinese Migrant Workers: Community Workshop Session are the latest works of the Migrant Workers Video collective(MWV).
MWV was initiated by Song Yi and Wang Dezhi in 2016. They attempted to explore how to highlight migrant workers' real life as possible, instead of stereotyping the imaginations on "underclass". Meanwhile, they prefer to some kind of unclassified video type, rather than following doctrinal methods of documentary and video art making, as well as the industry of film and vlogging.
The Bachelor Self-cam in Paradise features the depressing and boring life of a single casual worker "Tiger", which was interrupted by the sudden "intervention" of a female artist's work. Meanwhile, "Tiger" began to write his own fairy tale......
During the film shooting, MWV communicated with the Migrant Workers' Writing Group based in Beijing. they figured out that male workers in the writing group seldom portrayed women in their writing, and if they did, it was very thin. In contrast, female worker documented countless their male family members.
According to the interesting and inspiring contrast, MWV organized a workshop for the male and female to exchange their writings. Love, Marriage And Family of Chinese Migrant Workers: Community Workshop Session is edited by the video footages from the event.

Wang Dezhi is one of the founders of the grassroot organization "Migrant Worker's Home". He has been writing and filming plays, documentaries and movies related to new workers' lives for a long time. He studied labor law on his own, participated in the defense of new workers' rights.
宋轶，策划人、写作者、影像作者，独立空间“激发研究所”运营者之一，新工人影像小组发起人之一，“Bloom 绽”艺术与建筑集体策展小组发起人之一。
Song Yi, curator, writer and film maker.He is the co-director of art space "Institute For Provocation", founder of "Bloom 绽" curating collective for contemporary and urban planning. He was senior editor of LEAP magazine, former Head of Exhibition at Long March Space, coordinated "Ho Chi Minh trail" project.
Pro Helvetia Shanghai is founded in 2010 and represents the Swiss Arts Council in China, Hong Kong and Macau. Its aim is to encourage dialogue between Swiss and Chinese cultural practitioners and institutions by supporting projects that enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience in the cultural field.

TOP (TOP Art Space) was established in July 2016. The opportunity for the establishment of space originated from a conversation between Han Fei and Li Zhenhua, about "what to do" and "nothing to do". They finally concluded that TOP is a house of the spirit loactes on the roof of urban village. The physical space of TOP includes open kitchen, rooftop, reading room, small projection hall, conference room and other infrastructure. Through the participation of visitors, we start from their own interests to connect with TOP. As a dynamic concept, TOP will be constantly defined and stimulated in communication and dialogue.
