Latest Immigration Policy of Different Countries and Regions

Since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 pandemic, more and more countries and regions have tightened their immigration policies and even adopted the policy of lock down. Today SOLUTIONS summarized the detail informs for you.

Hong Kong, China 中国香港

The Hong Kong Security Bureau issued a red travel alert. Anyone arriving in Hong Kong from overseas, whether or not Hong Kong residents, are subject to 14-day mandatory quarantine from 0:00 on 19th March. For travelers from mainland China, the policy remain the same as before, 14-day mandatory quarantine after arrival.

香港保安局对所有海外国家/属地发出红色外游警示，卫生署相应加强卫生检疫安排，3月19日零时零分起从海外国家/属地抵港人士，不论是否香港居民，均须接受14天强制检疫。而所有由中国内地抵港人士的检疫安排维持不变，必须接受14天强制家居检疫，期间禁止离开香港。

Singapore 新加坡

Starting from 11:59 PM on 20th March, a 14-day mandatory quarantine will be issued to Singapore citizens, permanent residents and holders of long-term certificates who have entered the country from any country overseas.

从本周五（20日）晚上11点59分起，向从海外任何国家入境我国的新加坡公民、永久居民和长期证持有者，发出14天居家通知。

United States 美国

Foreign travelers who have traveled to the following countries for 14 days prior to entering the United States are prohibited from entering the country:

- the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, excluding overseas territories outside Europe;

- Republic of Ireland;

26 - Schengen countries (Austria, Belgium, the Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland).

- islamic republic of Iran;

- China, with the exception of the Hong Kong and Macao.

在入境美国之前的14天内，去过下列国家的外国旅客将被禁止入境：

- 大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国，不包括欧洲以外的海外领土；

- 爱尔兰共和国；

India 印度

1. Except for visas issued to diplomats, officials, United Nations/international organizations, employment and projects, all visas issued to citizens of all nationalities will be suspended until 15 April 2020. The policy will start at 1200 GMT on 13 March 2020 at all ports of exit for foreign nationals heading for India.

2. Visas for all foreign nationals already in India are still valid. If you wish to extend the validity of your visa or change the type of visa, or for consular services, contact the nearby FRRO/FRO via e-frro.

3. All foreigners, including Indian nationals, who have been to or from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, Spain and Germany on or after February 15, 2020 shall be quarantined for at least 14 days. This will take effect from 12:00 GMT on 13th March at the port of departure of these passengers.

1.除了签发给外交官、官员、联合国/国际组织、就业和项目的签证外，其他签发给所有国籍公民的签证在2020年4月15日以前暂为失效。该政策将于2020年3月13日1200格林尼治时间起，在所有外国公民前往印度的出境口岸开始执行。

Russia 俄罗斯

1. From 18th March to 1st May, Russia has temporarily restricted the entry of foreigners.

2. The ban does not apply to drivers who involved in international transportation, diplomats and foreigners with long-term residency in Russia who transport goods in transit.

Bangladesh 孟加拉

1. Suspension on arrival visa for China, South Korea, Iran and Italian citizens.

2. Bangladesh embassy in China, South Korea, Iran and Italy can issue visas to applications who has COVID-19 uninfected medical report when is under emergency situations.

3. These countries hold visas candidate should contact Bangladesh embassy in the country, need not provide when in Bangladesh entry new crown pneumonia infection the doctor certificate

1. 暂停签发中国、韩国、伊朗和意大利公民的落地签。

2. 驻中国、韩国、伊朗和意大利的孟加拉国大使馆只可在紧急情况下，向持有未感染新冠肺炎医生证明的人员签发签证。

3. 已持有签证的以上国家人选应联系孟加拉国驻该国大使馆，在孟加拉国入境时需提供未感染新冠肺炎的医生证明。

The United Arab Emirates 阿联酋

The visa-free and visa-on-arrival policies will be suspended from 19th March. 

Urgent notice from Chinese consulate general in Dubai:

We have just been informed by the UAE Foreign Ministry that the UAE will suspend visa-free and visa-on-arrival policies for citizens of other countries (except those holding diplomatic passports) from 19th March. 

Citizens of countries with visa-free and visa-on-arrival agreements with the UAE, including China, will be temporarily unable to enter the UAE until further notice. 

The one that already in the UAE will not be affected, and the renewal of visas for long-term residents in the country will not be affected.

将于3月19日起暂停免签、落地签政策

中国驻迪拜总领事馆紧急通知： 

阿联酋外交部通知，阿方将于3月19日起暂停对各国公民的免签、落地签政策（持外交护照人员除外）。包括中国在内的与阿联酋有免签、落地签协议的国家公民将暂时无法入境阿联酋，恢复时间另行通知。已入境阿联酋人员不受影响，在阿国内长期居住人员更新签证不受影响。

New Zealand 新西兰

New Zealand will ban all foreigners but New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family from entering the country, the prime minister announced 19th March afternoon. The ban will take effect at midnight on the 19th March.

新西兰总理 3月19日下午宣布，为遏制新冠肺炎的传播，将禁止所有除新西兰公民、新西兰永久居民及其直系亲属以外的人士进入该国。禁令将在19日午夜生效。

Australia 澳大利亚

On March 19, the Australian prime minister announced that from 21:00 on 20th March, all non-Australian citizens and non-permanent residents will be subject to a travel ban. Only citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family members can enter the country.

3月19日，澳大利亚总理，从20日晚21点起，对所有非澳大利亚公民和非永久居民执行旅行禁令，只有公民、永久居民与其直系亲属可以入境。

At least 11 countries, including Belgium, Italy, Kuwait, Spain, the Czech republic, Djibouti, France, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Jordan and Honduras, have taken "lockdown" in response to the new pneumonia outbreak.

全球至少已有比利时、意大利、科威特、西班牙、捷克、吉布提、法国、加拿大、吉尔吉斯斯坦、约旦、洪都拉斯等11国为应对新冠肺炎疫情而采取“封国”措施，加上澳大利亚与新西兰，全球至少有13国宣布“封国”。
