Shanghai：

Regarding the matter that “ Someone claimed, recently two of his/her friends took a flight back to France from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, but their passports and French residence cards were expropriated when they arrived at the airport.” It is false information. In fact, since March 25, 2020, Hongqiao Airport has suspended all international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan inbound and outbound flights.

Guangzhou：

False news spreading on the Internet about a passenger's "green card" being cut when leaving the country from Guangzhou has aroused the concern of some passengers and netizens, and disrupted the normal immigration management order. The news is a rumor.

Strictly Restrict On Non-essential Outbound Activities Of Chinese Citizens

According to the meeting of the National Immigration Administration on May 10, the current global COVID epidemic is still in the active stage, the situation in neighboring countries and regions is showing an outbreak status, and the domestic epidemic situation is scattered in many places. 

Therefore, the national immigration management agency will continue to strictly restrict the non-essential outbound activities of Chinese citizens, and take strict control on approve and issue of exit and entry documents. 

Persons with urgent humanitarian reasons such as going abroad to resume work, production, and school, as well as necessary activities such as trade, scientific research, and schooling, as well as medical treatment, caring for critically ill patients, etc., will still be accepted and get approve their passports in a timely manner.

In the first quarter of 2022, the national border inspection agencies had inspected a total of 30.094 million entry-exit personnel, including 14.622 million Chinese citizens leaving the country, with a decrease from the previous quarter; a total of 2.278 million entry-exit transportation vehicles were inspected; A total of 426,000 passports and other entry-exit documents were issued, 1.05 million endorsements were made between Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 136,000 stay and residence permits were handled for foreigners in China.
