Airport Cancels Foreigner's Ticket as Aggressive Behavior...
Sichuan Airlines canceled a foreign national's air ticket from Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province to Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, on Saturday night after the traveler refused to comply with anti-epidemic requirements and acted aggressively toward airline staff, according to a notice posted by Qingdao International Airport on Sunday.
At about 22:00 on Saturday, Sichuan Airlines' 3U8124 Qingdao-Xi'an flight issued a boarding call for passengers at the departure gate.
Airline staff at the gate checked the passenger travel codes for Shaanxi Province in accordance with Sichuan Airlines policy.
But a foreign national refused to show the travel code and responded to requests to do so by verbally abusing airline staff, according to the notice posted on the official website of the airport.
Staff quickly contacted Sichuan Airlines personnel to deal with the incident, while also calling the airport police.
The airline canceled the passenger's ticket, who was subsequently escorted from the scene by police. The notice did not disclose the passenger's nationality.
