According to the regulations of the Exit and Entry Administration, foreigners need to apply for a passport change within 10 days of getting a new passport, and if they exceed the time limit, they will be treated as overstay and leave a bad record.

Applicants need to apply for passport change certificate from the consulate of their home country and mark the date of receipt; Updating the temporary accommodation registration form to the new passport number; Submit an application for change of residence permit to the Exit and Entry Administration.

In case of any change in the reason for residence, passport number, pedestrian, etc., the residence permit holder shall apply for a new residence permit to the residence permit issuing authority within 10 days.

If the residence permit holder's address, school of study, office or employment unit has been changed, he/she shall apply to the residence permit issuing authority for change within 10 days.

A person who moves from one city to another may apply to the place of departure or the exit/entry administration office of the public security organ at the place of destination for alteration.

What application materials are required?

1. Submit the original and photocopy of valid passport and visa.

2. Fill in the visa application form and submit a recent two-inch half-length headless photo.

3, if the work or employment unit changes, should provide the official letter of the current unit, the copy of the business license of the current unit, and submit the changed "Foreign employment Permit" or "Foreign expert Certificate" and its copy.

4. If the college changes, an official letter indicating the period of study and an offer of admission must be provided.

5. If you quit your job due to early termination of the employment contract, you must provide the resignation certificate of the original unit and go through the stay procedures again.
