This is a bank slip from a customer in the Middle East, UAE. Please note that the slip is dated March 11, 2020.

The bank slip can be faked!

If the customer gives the bank slip,
but the actual payment isn't received:
1. Do not relax because of the customer said "bank holiday", "workers strike" and other reasons;
2. After getting the buyer's remittance slip, first check whether your account name and account are consistent;
3. If the customer insists on remitting the money, but has not received the money, it is necessary to ask the customer for MT103 message.

What is MT103?
The full English name of the MT103 message is "SWIFT MT103 Single Customer Credit Transfer" and it is a file of payment details generated when the bank completes an international transfer.
The MT103 message can be interpreted as the courier number, through which the bank can query the specific payment status, remittance date and other details.

Then, the customer asked the bank to get MT103 and replied as follows. Note that the 32A display time of MT103 is 200318, which proves that the actual remittance time of the remitting bank is March 18, 2020.
Then when did the money arrive?
March 19, 2020. After the remitting bank remitted, the money from the UAE in the Middle East arrived in just one day.
Therefore, it can be known from the above case that customer's memo = remittance application, and the date on the memo is the time when the customer submits the remittance application to the bank. However, the time shown in 32A of MT103 is the real remittance time of the remittance bank.
So, if the customer gives the bank slip and cannot pay for several days, you must ask the customer for MT103 message. With the MT103 message, you can check the account with your bank.
