Day 1
Meet in Chengdu Hotel
Meet in our reserved hotel in Chengdu. We shall have a brief meeting in hotel around 8-9pm for the next day wonderful trek. If you arrive earlier, you can wander around Chengdu including China Alley, Tianfu Square, Taikoolietc.
Day 2
Chengdu-Kangding-Laoyulin power station-Gexigrassland Camp(BLD)
After breakfast, we will drive to Kangding through highway and appreciate the country side view of western Sichuan. After crossing New Erlandshan Tunnel and Daduhe Bridge, we finally reach Kanding(2900m). A beautiful city reputed for Paoma mountain, here we will have lunch.
After lunch break, we will purchase necessary stuff needed for the trek (you can also pack your lunch for the next few days here) then we drive further 25km to Laoyunlin Power station- trek start point.
After about 3km trek, we will reach Gexi grassland Campsite for today. Ready for a big dinnner
Notice: If during national holiday or traffic jam, we can not reach Gexi grassland Camp in time, then we will overnight at Laoyulin village guesthouse. Addtional cost of guesthouse of CNY 50-60/Pax shall be on your own charge
Meals Plan:breakfast, lunch, dinner
Elevation: Kangding 2600m, Gexi grassland 3400m
Driving distance:308km, around 6 hours
Trek distance:3km, around half an hour
Day 3
Gexi grassland-Liangchahe- Xiariwuqie-Upper Riwuqie camp(BD)
After breakfast, we will trek toward Upper Riwuqie with mazing scenaries along the way. 2 hrs later, we shall reach Liangchahe which will be surround a large pile of red stones, take your time to take great photos. Later on, we shall trek southwards and will have gorgeous view of snow mountains of Tianhaizi (6070m), Small Minya Konka(6027m), Jiazifeng (6549m). Enjoy the amazing view while slowly trek to upper Riwuqie-campsite for tonight.
Trek Distance: 15km, around 7-9 hours
Elevation of night: 4350m
Notice: If heavy snow falls, we will adjust to Panpan mountain route as it would be impossible to cross Riwuqie Pass.
Day 4
Upper Riwuqie-Riwuqie Pass-Moxigouwei Camp(BD)
It's a difficult day, we will trek cross Riwuqie Pass (highest point for this trek) with an elevation up 700m. You can notify the drastic changes of the plants all the way up with the view of snow mountains, lake. If by good chance, you may be able to see the ancient animal fossil.
After cross the Riwuqie Pass, we will trek down and the plants will be vibrant and more. Then we will camp at Moxigouwei Camp site
Trek Distance: 15km, around 6-8hours
Elevation of night: 3900m
Notice:
If Yulongxi village or Zimei pass road is under maintenance, we have to adjust the route to cross Konka monastery instead
During holiday, if too crowed at Moxigouwei camp site, we will camp at leduomanyin BC camp(4100m)
Day 5
Moxigouwei Camp(Leduomanyin BC Camp during holiday)-Yulongxi Pass-Yulongxi Village(BD)
In the morning, we will trek from Moxigouwei campsite along the grassland and forest all the way to Yulongxi Pass. This part is all way up, so please be preapred. Here you can have a clear full view of Mt.Mingya Konka, amazing and stunning. We will spend some time to enjoy the beautiful view here before we trek down to Yulongxi village . Here a car will pick us up to the guesthouse overnight stay
Trek Distance: 15km, around 6-8 hours
Elevation : Yulongxi pass 4500m, Yulongxi village 3800m
Day 3
Yulongxi Village-Quanhuatan-Lenggatso lake-Yulongxi Village(BD)
After a good breakfast, we will trek about 1km to Quanhuatan, scenary similar to Huanglong park-colorful pond. Have some quality time for photo taking here and trek down to the village. Then we will hop on the mini van to foot of Lengatso lake and trek all the way up to the pass and reach the lake. Lengatso lake is best photo shoot point for Mt.Minya Konka, especially the sunset view could take you breath away. After great time for the photos, we will trek down the foot and hop on to our mini van and drive back to the village
Trek Distance: 9km, around 6.5hours
Driving Distance:20m, 40 minutes
Elevation : Lenggatso 4300m, Quanhuatan 4000m
Notice: If after photo taking of sunset view of Lengatso lake , you still want to linger on for late , please prepare headlamp, warm clothes. Late car transfer back to Yulongxi village shall be at your own charge. A car (CNY 400-500) transfer would be able to accommodate 4- 5 pax, you share the cost among the members
Day 7
Yulongxi Village-Zimei Pass-Zimei Village-Bayuhai Park lot-Caoke(Or Shimian during holiday)(BD)
We will start to head back from this day. After breakfast, we shall trek to Zimei Pass for sunrise view. This is one the best platform for view Mt. Minya Konka. Here can view starry sky, sunrise, golden morning sunlight and cloud sea.
Later on, we will drive to Xiazimei village and then trek across virgin forest. Lunch time at Bawang lake and ready to board on the bus to drive to Caoke or Shimian
Trek Distance: 13km, around 4.5hours
Driving distance:72km, 2hrs
Elevation: Zimei Pass: 4500m, Bawang lake 3100m, Caoke village 1500m
Notice:
During holiday season, we will overnight in Shimian or Hailuogou instead of Caoke
Day 8
Caoke-Ya'an-Chengdu(BL)
It's home return day. We shall drive back to Chengdu with good memories of the trek. If you want to leave the same out of Chengdu, please book a flight leaves after 5pm
Driving Distance:305km, around 7 hours
