Non-Vaccinated People Now Banned from Public Venues in....

Several regions in China have recently announced ban from entering public areas for those who haven't taken COVID vaccine (Except for those who are not suitable for vaccination due to physical contraindications and those under the age of 18) and new regulations on home isolation for international travelers. It is uncertain whether the measures will be implemented nationwide.

Ban on entering public areas, regions in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Shandong Provinces

1. Ninghai County, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province

From July 25th, people who have not been vaccinated are not allowed to enter the inpatient departments of medical institutions, nursing homes, schools (kindergartens, nurseries, off-campus training institutions), libraries, museums, prisons and other key areas. Vendors are not allowed to sell at the markets if they haven’t been vaccinated. The shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, theaters and cinemas can refer to the above control measures.

2. Qingtian County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province

From July 9th, the government departments, medical institutions, stations, nursing homes, nurseries, schools (kindergartens, off-campus training institutions), hotels, shopping malls, supermarkets, banks, and farmer markets will all implement both health QR code and vaccination record inspection for entering. 

Those who haven’t been vaccinated will be registered and promoted for timely vaccination. 

Starting on the 21st, those who have not been vaccinated are not allowed to enter above areas, libraries, museums, prisons and other key places.

Currently more regions in Shandong, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Fujian and Zhejiang have implemented check on vaccination record for people who enter the public areas.

Below regions have also announced similar regulations of ban on non-vaccinated people from entering related public areas. Most of the ban will take effect from late July and early August:

• Jiangxi Province: Chongren County; Dingnan County; Anyuan County; Jinggang Mountain Scenic Area

• Shandong Province: Linzi District, Zibo City; main districts of Weifang City; Huimin County, Binzhou City 

Home isolation: the family numbers need to be vaccinated

According to the new regulation in several provinces, for those who are back to the regions from abroad and preparing for home isolation process, they will have to make sure their family members or anyone who live in the same apartment have already been vaccinated, otherwise the home isolation will not be approved.

• Ninghai County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province

• Qingtian County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province

• Anyuan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province
