BREAKING: No More PCR Reports or Health Code Check for Travelers

China has announced upgraded relaxed Covid-19 control measures on December 07, which was considered as one step closer to reopening.

The main contents in the new measures include:

Allowing those who test positive to stay at home, and no longer require negative nucleic acid testing reports for people traveling across different regions, health code will neither be checked in most cases.

Nucliec Acid Tests & Health Codes

Negative nucleic acid testing certificates and health code will NO MORE be required, except for special places such as nursing homes, welfare homes, medical institutions, childcare institutions, primary and secondary schools and so on.

For Travelers

Cross-region traveling personnel will no longer need to show negative nucleic acid testing certificates and health code. “Testing on arrival” will be canceled.




For Infected People

Asymptomatic infections and those with mild symptoms are allowed to stay home for isolation and self-treatment (It is also acceptable if they ask for centralized isolation and treatment voluntarily).

Isolation will be lifted when the Ct value of nucleic acid test is ≥35 for 2 consecutive times on the 6th and 7th days of isolation.

Close contacts for above infections are subject to 5-day home isolation as well (or voluntary centralized isolation), they will be released after the negative nucleic acid testing on the 5th day.

For Buying medicine

Pharmacies (including online shops) are required to operate normally, and the public must not be restricted from purchasing medicines for cold, fever, cough, and so on.
