Imagine that in the future, human beings will have to choose another place to live in. which of the following places do you like the most?

1)  Antarctic area

2)  Sea

3)  Outer space

答案示例

I’d choose to live in the Antarctic area. Although it’s freezingly cold; still, our advanced technology would bring about some heating system that keep us warm. Besides, I’ve heard a lot about penguins, like how they forage and how the father takes care of the young. The way they move on the ice and jump into the water is especially cute and I won’t mind living with them as long as human beings could find a way to co-exist with such delicate animals. In contrast, I feel intimidated by the sea, not only due to those dangerous creatures living there, but also by the feeling of floating on the vast ocean. Similarly, we don’t know what’s out there in the outer space, I mean, what if other civilizations want to eliminate us? Plus, the infinite unknow universe sounds a little bit threatening.

People in the past enjoyed board games and card games, while nowadays we like playing computer games or our cell phones. Which one do you prefer?

答案示例

Although computer games offer a good way to kill time, I do prefer some old-fashioned activities like chess or poker. For one thing, I never get bored with board or card games, which involves endless possibilities and strategies and also, when playing poker with friends, we tend to study each other’s facial expressions or even body movements in order to get some hints about their thoughts or the next move. It’s both challenging and appealing. In contrast, I get tired easily with video games and after several rounds, it just feels like doing some repetitive work. It’s not fun anymore. Moreover, I could enjoy a board game with almost everyone in the family. It’s the kind of entertainment that strengthens the bond among us.
